Anyone know how to interpret this lawyer written style crap about new terms? Kinda makes it sound like there won't be any more "unlimited" data and "unauthorized" use of the phone as a hotspot/modem will terminate agreement...:sly: :what: :screwy:But I'm unsure as to what they're REALLY saying. If someone can clarify this for us I'd greatly appreciate it

No big deal! If you read through all of it you notice the data charges are talking about different "plans". They do have a clause on rooting, but every company holds that clause. The FCC presented a law last year stating that anyone who buys a device is allowed to modify it without being denied support and warranty. If the modded device has an issue "not" related to the mod itself, the service provider must meet the warranty of device itself.
As far as no hot spot, they have always said that. They will just try to lock bootloaders down like they did with the Kyocera phones. But with a group of people like our devs here in the Android Forums, the next line of devices will be exploited, unlocked, and modded:-)
And it doesn't say they are stopping the unlimited plans.

The only plans I know of are the $3 daily plans & monthly unlimited... Am I missing something? (Yes I'm confused, lol)

you can pay per minute too. that has data charges

plus they may have just thrown that in there as just some generic crap for future reference if they want to add in new plans

none of that seems to have changed since over a year ago other than the part they added about improper use of a data line and how they arent responsible if something you download or they upload into your phone breaks it

yea, and i just thought of something else too, it may just be a copy and paste job from other branches of the company. im sure somewhere in that long list of services offered by sprint and its subsidiaries there is a plan with limited data usage

Would not doubt that at all. Gotta read the fine print, and in between the lines!!!:)
