.....................................0b08c won't root.............................................
Well,,, I have done everything by the book. Good driver install I think because it shows up in the device mgr as ZTE Composite ADB Interface then went to one click install for CWM Start the bat. file and it starts and then it just sits at the android screen after it turns off my phone and that's all. It sits at the little green android screen and will not do a damn thing until I pull out the Batt. I don't know any thing else to do and I know you guys can't make it any easier for us. I tried the one click ZTE Warp Recovery Installer no luck I tried the one click CWM and the same thing happens. It trys to work and says it's waiting on the phone and sits at the stupid green android screen. Ya got me now....... I guess I have to wait for other ideas from someone on here. RRRrrrrr Aggravated. I've done this before with my old droid so I'm not new to this stuff but rrrrrr. 0b08c is the way the phone came to me so..........

UPDATE : This is the fix for me and probably others. Xoriths post below got me rooted with CWM. Many thanks to Xorith and others. Backing up with titanium backup now !

Hello folks!
I, too, was having a difficult time getting Windows 7 (64-bit) to update the drivers. I even installed the latest SDK general drivers. It would keep going back to saying that "Unknown Device" was the best driver for my hardware. When I'd try to force the issue by using "Have Disk..." it would then tell me that the android_winusb.inf did not contain driver information suitable for a 64-bit OS...

So I Googled my heart out until I found this:

-- Okay, I can't post links - no matter how helpful they might be... so instead let me tell you to Google for "Making Fastboot work on 64-bit Windows 7 systems" and it should be the very first link, hosted on rootzwiki's domain. --

It's a quick guide that I found which uses PdaNet's drivers and it worked great for me!

Yeah I am having the same "exact" problem, I've tried it all, I thought maybe it was the driver but i have no idea now. I hope you guys can help. Thanks :)

I was having the same problem until I remembered USB debugging must be on. menu/applications/development/usb debugging.

It took me about 2 reboots and 2 executions of warpdrive.bat but it worked in the end.

Warp Drive will not work on the new phones.
So go to the one click CWM link in the forums and read read read. That's what I did and came up with the problem solver. Between the driver installed wrong and the Warp Drive not working on my new phone I was ready to give up. I had to uninstall my drivers reboot and do the pdanet thing to get a correct driver install. That was my biggest problem. Then the CWM worked fine.
Ya gota make sure you have your drivers installed correctly and do what it says in the CWM install. It worked for me and that was all that would work on this newer phone. Don't give up chase the problem and you'll get it. Good luck Wish I could help more but I'm just one step beyond newbee here and still learning.

Can someone please walk me through how to do this on the mac os X? When I clicked the WarpDrive.sh - it just takes me into textedit - and I have no idea what to do from here. I am not familiar with PC and everything that is discussed in the tutorial is not in mac language. Thank you so much for the help! It is greatly appreciated!
