Root [Boost Mobile] Anyone buy this ZeroLemon 7000 mAh battery?

I second the proud to never have owned an iPhone, or any elitist Apple garbage for that matter. LG Optimus Slider for me on my first Android, as basic as it was, I have been addicted to Android ever since.

Lol. That's how I started with boost... good old crackberry.
In fact that whole story sounds very similar, for me it went: crackberry, first blackberry, prevail, transform ultra, the HTC design 4g wiimax, TF300T, htc one sv 4g lte, TF700T, galaxy s3 4g lte, another tf700t, :piss on Apple: ....
I hope I don't buy another phone! This s3 has to be the last last one, my wife gets so upset that I keep spending money on a "stupid phone", I keep telling her "but it's a smart phone honey" she don't care.

LMAO!!!! I was just talking to a friend the other day and mentioned the fact that so many of us have more in common than we think. Brother, I know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to the wife and my phones and tablet. If she's anything like mine, I feel for you bro! Up until a few days ago, my wife hated even the word ANDROID. lol :p

I just had something happen the other day that actually got Android and myself some serious brownie points from my wife. Up until then she hated EVERYTHING, and I do mean EVERYTHING to do with Androids including the sites I'm active on. LOL!!!! :D I had originally bought my wife a Prevail as her 1st starter Android phone. It's the same model I learned on and I know those little boogers like the back of my hand. Awesome little phones. ;) Anyways.... she just would not take the time to adjust to the keyboard and touch screen. Soooooo, back to her little pink Sanyo Juno she went. I even tried to get her to use my larger Marquee but it was a no go. She just didn't want to take the time to learn how to use the touch screen. She has nails so I can understand it would take a bit of time getting used to. Still, I've seen women with 1 inch nails texting like maniacs on these phones. It's just taking the time to learn which she didn't want to do.

Well, she saw some of the other ladies she works with using mp3 players at work and asked me about them. I told her we would go shopping and I would get her a nice one...... NOT! She went out not knowing anything about what she was buying. After only a few months, her little 2x1.5 inch 4 gig mp3 player now only holds a charge for about an hour 1/2. Not only that, It's a b*tch to figure out what you want to play because the thing's so darn small you can barley read it. Def one of those I told you so moments that I knew was best kept to myself. Oh yes.....I most definitely kept that 1 to myself. Still, the thought puts a smile on my face! :D lmao!!!!!

Anyways.... seeing as I have several phones laying around, I decided to totally convert the Prevail over to a plain Jane, easy peasy mp3 player. I flashed Megatron on it, added PlayerPro with its DSP pack, set it up just right, bought her some decent ear buds and basically removed access to everything else. I must say that she is very happy with the nice Christmas wallpaper I added. Extra brownie points for that 1 too. lol I added 4 gigs of her favorite tunes, set that puppy to shuffle and taught her the basics of how to use the widget and the phone. (on/off & volume) I even set it up so she can use the lockscreen widget. Bro, I've got that puppy set up to where it's so simple to operate it's insane! It just so happens that her Sanyo Juno phone plug fits the Prevail too!! Total awesomeness that she can charge it at work if need be. The one she had came with a 2ft USB cable and no persnal devices are allowed to be connected to the company computers. Could have used the USB outlet adapter but 2ft isn't much at all to work with.

I had a black rubber case on the phone to protect it since I had been using it to mess around with. It just so happens that a pink case originally was purchased with the Prevail and I put that baby on the phone yesterday. Even more brownie points, plus that my friend was the icing on the cake. My wife now ABSOLUTELY LOVES HER PINK PREVAIL!! Imagine that. She doesn't know it yet but I am slowly going to get her accustomed to using the touch screen! HEEHEE!!!!! With a few helpful pointers here and there, I hope to have her switched over to my Marquee in a few 4-8 months lmao. When I bought the Marquee from Septembersrain, she hooked me up with several really nice phone protectors that my wife will absolutely love. Once I get her familiar with the touchscreen and the basics of how the phone operates, the better quality larger screened Marquee will be an welcome change. (I hope) The larger keyboard will def help too. It just so happens that I have the paid Thumb Keyboard too. That's going to be a huge plus! She'll love that Marquee camera too!! Oh yes indeedy, I have high hopes for her. It's taken me almost a year just to get her using the Prevail. Who knows...... one day she may have my S3. One day in the very distant future but still possible nonetheless. :D

Gee Whiz, I just looked up and it looks like I've started writing a book. Sorry bout that fellas..... back to the battery discussion. :)

True that on the woman not understanding my Android addiction. I even bought her the same S3 as mine at the same time. She has admitted however, that she does like her phone quite a bit, even though she has no idea what she is missing out on by being stock/unrooted. I also second the sentiment from smith058 and what he wants to do to Apple lol!

This will be my last off-topic post in this thread, but forgot to mention late last night/early this morning that at my work we have iPads provided by the company for certain work-related tasks. Absolutely hate using it, every time I even pick it up I wonder what the appeal is, it is just God-awful. My 2.5 year old Xoom smokes that Apple piece of garbage. Plus, my company didn't get any kind of discount for buying in bulk (they bought a LOT so that each location would have two iPads); at the very least, getting a previous generation Nexus tablet would have been loads cheaper and way more user-friendly.

Knoxville363, you've got some guts walking through the S3 forum with a name like that.. considering the recent update to 4.3 and all.

A few of us have been KNOX'ed up!

;)

LOL...now that we got the "KNOX'ed up" out of the way. I've heard a lot of good things about Hyperion extended batteries vs ZeroLemon and their excellent customer service. I'm actually looking to get the Hyperion 7000mAh. Here are 2 options I've found on Amazon.

I can say that my first extended battery for a phone was a Hyperion, and I rather liked it a lot. Definitely lasted days on days :)

I too was between the Hyperion and the Zerolemon. But went with the ZeroLemon since they had a TPU case that matched the color of the phone.

I love my ZeroLemon. Took me a few charges to really appreciate it's full potential. But by the end of an average day I'm rarely below 90%.

If I take it off the charger and let it sit idle, it'll stay at 100% for hours.

Let us know how you like it!

Ps: these things take ages to charge via the 500mA USB hahaha definitely wanna use the 1amp wall charger (unless you have a fast charge kernel)

Hmmmmm. I went ahead and bought another stock Samsung battery and have chargers everywhere but listening to you guys talk about these Hyperion and Zero Lemon batteries has got me thinking how nice it would be to have a phone that would go so long without a charge. Must be nice. Lol

My only concern before receiving mine was the size but now that I have it installed I think it feels just right in my hand; the new back cover has a really nice feel to it as well, they chose a good material to make it out of.

The video I posted were the guy took the Dremel and modded his OtterBox Defender, that would be me. Good thing I've got 2 of them. !!!! Just kidding... I seriously doubt I'll get the extra large battery. Not with me having an extra stock and more chargers than you can shake a stick at. Yep,. I've got them all over the place!! LMAO!!!

Then again.... I have been known to change my mind on occasion!!! :D
For those of you who've known me for awhile, I know you are probably laughing your asses of right now. I change my mind like gas prices change.......all the time! HAH!! :p:p:p:

Yeah man I love the feel of mine. It feels secure and I really like the extra grip. I'm so used to mine that it feels awkward to hold a stock device. With the stock battery, it kinda feels it'll slip out of my hand.

Yeah, it is definitely a "see it/feel it to believe it" kind of thing for sure.

Ordered this last night. I can hardly wait! The stock battery is fine on the weekend when I am home, since I am pretty much a hermit. Lol

But during the week I work some long hours and I do baby it a bit. I usually turn off data which means my battery lasts forever. I have never ran out of juice by doing this and it does help me from getting distracted while I am working.

But, I do have a fairly long commute to work and back and I use it a lot then. I keep my screen turned all the way up, which is my main consumer.

I am looking forward to getting this and giving it a try.

I love love love mine! Epic might be the only word appropriate for this battery. I also actually like the added bulk, for a big guy like me it is a good solid fit. Still have about three weeks to go before it is fully broken in based on the recommended charging cycles.

I have heard nothing but good reviews from everyone and I watched YouTube videos too. I don't think I will mind the extra size either, especially for the benefits that it gives . Would have got it sooner but it was out of stock for a while.

I was wondering why the Amazon link wasn't working. I bought mine just before that apparently. Glad you were able to get one. Pretty much guaranteed you'll love it!
