Based on users which from puts out the best battery life but still good performance I'm using icon rom ver 2 but its a battery drainer my bat drops 50% in less then 20 during use.

yeah most are like that the best one ive found so far would be noob props to mr bobo for making a complete balance rom but the warp didnt have a great battery life from stock so any rom will make it wrose i hope i help

buy a new battery, there is a 2180mAh one that is the same size as the original with more capacity and fits under the stock back cover, the stock one is crap (1600mAh).

Amazon.com: AceSoft Standard Extra Spare Li-ion Replacement Battery for Boost Mobile ZTE Warp N860 -New Brand: Cell Phones & Accessories

I got that one and have seen a dramatic change in how long the phone can go. I think too since my phone is about a year old it was not lasting as long.

A rom can make a difference, but it's going to be more about your apps and what background syncing they are doing as well as how good your signal is IMHO.

If amazon sends me another defective micro sd, I'll get that.. Thanks Mr.Boo.

OT: Noob Rom doesn't drain my batt too much.

Also what CPU governor you use and follow basic battery charging rules...let it get as low as possible before charging and let it charge to full

Mine seems to last about 24(ish) hours for what it's worth. Noob is real nice too when it comes to the battery.

CTMod had good battery life too, but it's a very finiky rom.
Simple and powerful, but very touchy.

Its not only the rom, but also apps running in background, kernel, etc.

I have an very very good, excellent battery life with n00b VI, OCv0.6.6_1.4Ghz_8freq glitch kernel, SetCPU and Advanced Task Killer Pro.

An excellent rom like n00b (the best actually) is optimized for speed and do not have bloatware and unneeded apps running in background, and is 100% bug free.

Having wrong settings for SetCPU and Advanced Task Killer Pro can make you have poor battery life and unstable phone.

My SetCPU settings:
Main: 768-122, ondemand, sio, Set on Boot
Profiles:
Batt > 45C <= 20%, 122-122, powersave, pri 100
Batt > 40C <= 30%, 245-122, conservative, pri 95
Batt < 50%, 368-122, conservative, pri 90
Batt < 75%, 368-122, ondemand, pri 80
In call, , 768-368, conservative, pri 70
Screen off, 245-122, conservative, pri 60
Charging Any, 1209-122, ondemand, pri 50

My Advanced Task Killer Pro settings:
checked: "Auto Start", "Ignore service, front app"
Auto Kill Level: Safe
Auto Kill Frequency: When screen off
Security Level: High
all other settings by default.

That settings got me an exceptional battery life, I hope you can get it too.

my rom has excellent battery life as well.... no one mentions my rom lol.

I walk to and from work 1 1/2 miles both ways i listen to music walking there and home before and after work by the time i get home at the end of the day even after having listened to music and NOT charging my phone at work i still have at least 75% battery life left :)

I guess I'm gonna have to flash test a couple different roms thanks everyone this is not only for my use but this thread can be used as a guide for anyone who wants a rom with good battery life and what setting works good with that Rom well to conserve battery.

Agreed, the top half dozen roms all perform well on battery and shin is a legand around these parts :-)

Just remember that most battery drain occurs inside of buildings where signal is low or nonexistent. Constantly cycling the radio will cause massive drain.

Of the ROM's I have tried (pretty much all of them) Shinjitsu, Noob, and Warp Cream Sandwich have had the best battery life on my device.

That's no joke. Sig in my apartment is scary bad and my phone is always jumping 3g to 1x to no data and my battery drops like nobodys business.
if I'm away from home my phone goes all day with battery to spare.

cyanoid is good on battery life it has a built in battery saver
EDIT: i have been using it since morning and my battery is still at 64% on the ondemand governor upto 1.8 ghz
