Well, they didn't really give me a reason, all I got was a "you are violating the TOS, blah, blah, blah" warning text like two months ago or so. But I'm guessing they weren't too fond of me taking 35GB of their bandwidth one month and 19GB this past month.

Oh well lol

But no worries! I have a Boost agent on my friend's phone, re-opening my account as I type this :D

35Gb/19GB??? wow! That's a lot of battery time too.... you walk with your charger? LOL I use less than 2gb and that's b/c its too slow for me, forcing me to wifi when i want to watch video or download large files.

Lol! Nope, I'd just leave my phone plugged in overnight and let my downloads do their thing. When I wake up in the morning, I'd unplug and go :-)
 
So your account was actually terminated? Did you receive warnings up to the time of termination? What phone and app were you using to tether?

Had my EVO 4G streaming for a while, and could easily consume 2GB a day. Received a warning, and haven't tethered since, well actually, I sold my EVO Design and waiting to upgrade to the G2.

Yes, actually terminated. I only received one warning around a month or two prior. Then I was like 40 miles away from home and got a flat tire. So I pull out my trusty Warp to dial for help, and "Your account has been suspended. Please call Boost Customer Service." blah, blah, blah. I didn't even notice anything was amiss with my phone because it had been working fine that day right up until about ten minutes before I hit the road.

So that was that. Thanks Boost.

BTW, I was using a popular tethering app that we all know here :D
 
Were you using FOXFI or WifiTether?

Also, were you able to port you number to another carrier, or reestablish your account with Boost and use your number again?
