Root [Boost Mobile] Flashlight Notification?

Hey everyone, sorry if this has been covered, but the search on the forum app isn't the best!

So I'm wanting to have the phone flash the camera LED for notifications, like calls, texts, etc. I've already tried most, if not all, of the free apps that are supposed to do this, but obviously none worked, or i wouldn't be posting this!

I know there's an issue with these phones and the flashlight feature to began with... i couldn't even find a working flashlight app for it last time i tried via play store! I have one now with the noob rom tho :-)

So has anyone found a way to make this work? Or is it just not gonna happen?
 
No thats not what he wants... I had somebody ask me for the same thing on my rom thread... he wants the camera led to flash or strobe when a call/text comes it... sorry I haven't found one that works...
 
My bad...misread the op. Maybe not an app to do it...but you could possibly decompile each individual app and change where it points to the led to flashlight...
 
I'm not aware of any app that will do it. Not that its not possible, but I've never heard of the demand.

There are plenty of apps that are supposed to do this, but none work with this phone tho.

Battery drain aside, I'd like to have the option to do this

I would assume that those apps which are supposed to don't work because of the egregious error ZTE included in the stock ramdisk - and never bothered to fix despite multiple updates. If you're rooted there are several ROMs here which fixed this issue, and those apps should then work.

Right, but that's what I'm getting at... i still can't find one that works. The noob rom does include a working flashlight now, but the notifications don't flash.

Edit... just to be clear...
The flashlight apps packaged with noob rom doesn't have the flash for notification feature. When i say that it wont work, I'm referring to all the stand-alone apps from the market. I think I've tried them all at this point... at least the popular ones.

And, just as a troubleshoot, i tried a few of the other flashlight apps from the market, and none of them worked either... just as flashlight. It seems that the only one that works is the one packed with Noob. At least without using some annoying work-around.
