the onnly thing i have in the cache folder is a folder labeled lost and found which is empty and and a folder labeled recovery which has last_log in it
 
What does the log file have in it? Ive never seen anything other than lost and found... I've found 3 separate threads saying that its saved in cache... maybe it got deleted? Or do you still have the update message?

no it is not deleted i still have a notification in the status bar asking to install and in the floder named recovery is the folder named last_log this is it

Try looking through /data/ cuz I'm out of ideas... I don't know what else to tell you

I'm on a rom too but it gave me the option for a forced update. But when it didn't work I went to about phone and update but it had nothing there. So I have no idea.

i found a folder called pending in it is journal-1196378098.tmp. i took this route data/backup/pending

They gave the update to my girls phone but cwm stopped it. Ill take a look around see if i can search for it in the phone and post it later gotta pull a 12 hour shift tomorrow so might not get to it till late tomorrow

I've been looking for that file all night and cannot find it yet I have the notification in my status bar to install it.
 
can we get a screenshot of the about phone in the settings from someone who was updated?

would someone who got the update re-root using the ultimate root by snake and make a cwm backup and upload the nandroid please?

I ran the handset update tool today and compared the update to the ones back in march and it hasn't been updated yet.

I would like to deodex the new one and do a file compare.
 
Okay i really dont think thats the real update they just are pushing B08c for in the system these people have been registered i have recieved NO message and i did at one time use the upgrade tool so in the system im registered with B08c whether i have it or not is another story
 
I do believe the update is downloaded to my phone. it's 6.7m but for the life of me I cannot find where it is stored.

oh so i decided i was going to make a stock B08 ROM flashable and i did a restore of rc1 nandroid and POOF! system update available :P charging my battery maybe ill see what this is and give you guys tons of screeshots and what not ill try to locate it in the phone too but my battery is to low to update :P
 
I had a customer that came in today with an update. She was already on B08c and when I clicked install it said it would take 5min and then rebooted in less than 1 min.. It still shows she is on B08c and no changes that I can see. Not sure if that is the same update that others are talking about or not. I havent received any update notification yet on mine.
