I have the stock apps from jetx2x on my sd card. He said they just needed to be copied into the /system/apps folder and the permissions changed to rw-r-r. I tried that with the stock browser file, browser.apk. I used the root explorer from your ROM and was unable to paste the file into /system/apps. Any ideas why? Thanks. :)tk

Edit: It did the same thing for the stock email app. I believe the problem is that the folder is R/O and needs to be R/W. The file explorer on the browser didn't have any place to change it. I installed a copy of root explorer that I have since it allows one to change the read/write status. I was able to copy the files I wanted to move to /system/apps and after I restarted all of them showed in the app drawer. I feel a bit "duh" for even posting this in the first place but maybe it will help someone else. :)

I flashed the wifi fix and it shows connected but the IP address is unavailable in the Advanced section of Wifi settings. When trying to connect to the Play Store, it told me "no connection - retry". I waited a couple of minutes and retried. I got connected. I'll be testing more to see how stable it is. Thanks for this fix.
:)tk

So you did connect to wifi?

Yes and it's been fine since then. I fell asleep at my computer or I would have posted the good news earlier.

Okay anyone else testing the wifi fix needs to reset there router and try again if hawg got it to work it might actually work and hawg no other problems no sticky check marks or anything

You have to mount the system as rw if you are using root explorer... otherwise you can't add anything

your welcome :D i just want everyone know im still looking for a fix for the wifi i hopefully will have it by the end of the night :D thanks guys for your patience :D
I'm still running wifi without any problems. So far, everything else seems to be okay. I got stock apps from jetx2x's WCS site that seem to be working on this ROM.

I did what you said to do you the first page of this thread YESTERDAY using the links you provided. You've since changed the files so I'm not sure if this is still valid with the new ROM you just released. I flashed each ROM and restarted normally after each flash.

1. Before I started I made a TB backup and I also ran a nandroid backup from CWM. Then I wiped the Dalvik cache, the cache partition, and wiped user data/factory reset.
2. Since I was using B08c, I flashed the stock B08 and restarted normally.
3. I flashed the beta unitology ROM. It's build number UnitologyV1.0A-Beta-3. (I checked from the "About Phone" in settings.) I restarted normally.
4. Flashed the Wifi fix and restarted.
5. I did not need the screen fix, at least not so far.

I did no configuration of the system between each flash. I just restarted every time and went back into CWM recovery using the power off menu. I configured Wifi and had to wait a little while for the bars to turn green. I haven't had any trouble since then. Knock on wood. :)

I then went about configuring the apps and I'm still playing with it. I'll likely try the new ROM later when I return from a visit with my grandchildren. I hope this helps. Questions?
:)tk

I forgot to mention that I wiped everything before I started. I added the step in these instructions.

Okay im going to do some editing tomorrow thank you hawg your input has benefited amazingly :D
One problem popped up when I was out and about. I had to restart my phone to recover my 3G connection. It showed 3G but it wouldn't turn green and I couldn't get to the internet through my browser. After restarting I got 3G back. When I returned home and enabled my wireless networks it said it connected but I can't get to the internet. Sooooo, I am having some trouble with wifi & 3G. :( :(

Edit: Now it's working alright. I restarted the phone and now it switches between wireless and 3G seamlessly.
