Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] ALIENWARP v2.0.2 (Update v2.0.3 released)

I was beginning to think it was just me, it seems to get better after I fix permissions for a little while then it'll start acting up again. I tried rolling the OC all the way back and uninstalled all unnecessary apps, no change. This is a rockin rom I really don't want to have to give it up.:confused:
 
i flashed this ROM over and i like it a lot, the only problem I've had is that the audio is very low when i am on the phone, audio works great on bluetooth, when i use the alarm it's very low. I've turned all volume settings to the max but it doesn't help. I almost forgot to mention i could only get the bluetooth to work if the volume is set to half way. And when i tried to apply the latest update, it remains stuck after splash screen, appears to be loading but never does get past that point, i waited up to 15 minutes with no change so i just went back to b4 the update. Hope this can get fixed, or am i doing something wrong, any advice helps, thank you for the great ROM :)

You can try using Ac!d Audio :)
 
Ok guys I'm not sure what's causing the random reboot that hangs on the boot animation. I'm not experiencing it myself. But ATM I'm lost on how to help.

So you flash the v2.0.3 update and it hangs on boot animation? Did you try pull battery and power back on? If so and its still doing it then you might have a bad download or flash.

I gave it another shot and it worked!!!!! :) thank you for your help. I have one more question, is there a way that i can fix the volume issues? When i'm on a call the volume is very low, but if i am on my bluetooth its fine, but while on my bluetooth the volume can only be set to halfway in order to work, kinda weird lol, just wanted to know if anyone else was having this issue and if it could be fixed, i tried to download the app that skinnyjeans21 suggested but i couldn't find it in google play :(

Ok that's a good possibility.

Everybody having the reboots... did they only start after the v2.0.3 update? Can I get some people to flash the v2.0.2 rom without the update to see if the reboots go away. Then I can start to figure out the issue.

it happened to me once before i did the update and i attributed it to holo because it has done that to me in the past and i didn't think anything of it... since the last time i posted i did fix permissions and switched to adw and it doesn't seem to do it any more... i gave it a couple of stress tests with a few apps in the background too... ill let you know if it happens again but i think the fix permissions is what did it... :)

Well... to me it happened all the times on adw =\ but I did not let it run without the update.

A few hours ago it start to force close ALL the running services and then a final reboot.

After that it worked fine.

I did restore all the apps and data (not system things at all) trough titanium backup...

Reading some posts it seems that many ROMs tend to act up when the restore is done...
 
This is a change. I need the users help to track this issue down.

I'm looking threw and seems that this is a .2 or. 3 issue but I'm not sure. Is there any 1 system app crashing? Maybe holo launcher?
Something might not be playing nice after being optimized.

Yes a lot of roms don't like titanium restoring stuff. AlienWarp has always gone haywire when its used but these reboots seem to be something else.
 
I seem to always have problems with holo fc'ing with this rom. Was never too big a deal, a little annoying but nothing major. I never had the random reboots either, just Holo launcher.
 
Ok, so I have had the Warp for over a ye now and I got tired of the freezing, restarting it likes to do. So I decided to give your rom a try. The stock boost rom is a joke. Your rom is pretty quick. Great work on that but I'm running into the Holo launcher crashing and and I have to force close, then it starts back up. I installed all the updates after the main rom install using CWM. Also and maybe I can get some help on this to. My Wife likes to play candy crush on it its like Bejeweled and it will just crash. It didn't at first but now that she's on a higher lvl it does. Any help from anyone is appreciated. I don't understand why cause I have NFS Hot Pursuit and it doesn't crash at all and its a more demanding game.
 
So far I did the fix permissions also and haven't had a problem with the launcher. Will keep everyone posted. Is there a log the phone keeps in the event of errors.

try ADW launcher from the play store, it's got a bunch of themes and you can customize it to do anything you want!... the bug i was describing wasn't just holo launcher crashing because it would reboot the phone into a loop... the holo launcher always crashes at one point or an other its a shame i loved that launcher but the crashing was too much! :)
 
I think its something to be expected. Hate to say it. I've pretty much been running this rom since it was released and it crashes! The best you can hope for it once every other day. Its a more of an annoyance but nothing negative happens because of it.
 
well it seems to be running pretty sooth the way i got it set up right now... i deleted holo altogether and moved adw to the system with \system\app\ mover from the play store and fixed permissions... haven't had a glitch so far like this... :)
