Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] DroidSmith 1.7.3 Update and Full

Awesome. I'm going to check it out and see what I can integrate into the rom. Its been a few weeks since I've dropped an update. I really want to get my new kernel in here, but it still has bluetooth and flashlight. The upside is that it is super smooth and fast. I may just post it as an add on for now.

Sounds Good!! :)

Decided to try this rom out. First boot was very fast. Here are benchmarks first try noop smartassv2. 1.7ghz

Can't seem to get live wallpaper to work. I installed the apk and when ever I try to pick one the app force closes.

I've think another user ran into this issue a while back. If I remember right they were able to use a .zip from the noob thread to install live wallpapers. If its a must have and for some reason MrBobos zip doesn't work I can build an add on for the rom. As a matter of fact I am currently working on an update among several projects. If enough users want live wallpapers I can include it in the next update

I'm going a new direction with the kernel. Im scraping the 2.6.35.14 source and am either going with the 2.6.35.7 that is typical for the warp, or 3.0.8. Either way it will be more of a modular build than typical

Call the new kernel Matrix Reloaded Kernel or Matrix Kernel Reloaded

Why scrap 2.6.35.14? The thing ran great. :) Also, 3.0.8 gets my vote! :D

I just can't seem to get the Bluetooth modules working, and I'm leaning toward 3.0.8 my self, but it not going to be easy.

Is your plan to have your new kernel integrated into the rom for this next update, or will it be an optional flash? Sorry if you've already gone over this, I'm just curious that's all...:D

It will be integrated, but I will have alien posted as a fall back for those who prefer it.

Up. Running. Restoring from Titanium now. I have to say, I am already excited, my LED flashlight works! YAY!

Thanks, a bunch!

Annnnnnnnnd I installed the xperia launcher, everything worked for a while, now, I have a brick :(

When I pull the battery, and put it back in, there is no screen display, the settings and back arrow buttons light up, and it gets uber hot just under the camera, even with SD removed.

Help?

Boot into recovery and reinstall 1.7.3. That should take care of it. I'm honestly not sure why the xperia pack would cause an issue. You may have a bad download. If you used your phones 3g I am almost sure its a bad download

It won't boot into recovery either, same scenario. I downloaded by my home Ethernet to my PC, then transferred to the phone.

Breaking news! This just in, from my teenage daughter!

It took a slight dip this afternoon, in an undisclosed amount of water, described as a tiny puddle. The screen is becoming responsive to touch, it isn't heating up,and all four home keys light up. Nothing on the screen, but I can hear incoming text messages. Sigh.

So, it is in a bed of rice, and is sitting directly next to a dehumidifier under a blanket tent...

That sucks sorry to hear that. I've known the rice thing to work out for a few people, so I hope it does the trick
