Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] DroidSmith 1.7.3 Update and Full

@Lilbit You and dropbox don't get along, huh?

As far as Volume+ I paid for it a while ago. I found one use for it - boosting the volume in Hulu. For everything else it boosts the volume but introduces TONs of distortion. Yet I know it's possible, for instance in PowerAMP, I have a custom EQ setup, with preamp to max and don't allow clipping set. Loudest sounds my warp makes, all crystal clear. Through headphones anyway. The speaker is trash lol. But still the poweramp setup sounds better on the speaker than volume+ so you know it's possible.

I use volume+ to boost the speakers but not 4 poweramp because it has its own volume boost in the eq

DS 1.7.3 update and full is now up. This is one of the things I have been working on for the last week. I made some further modifications to the LMK, and now DS rocks for over 100 hrs with no FCs, no reboots, and no noticeable lag.

How is 1.7.3 working for you? Is application management straightened out? Remember I was having problems with that and using history eraser/task killer apps.

I modified the low memory killer, and there have been no issues with the rom since. I have the phone on for days at a time with no fcs and no reboots. The built in application manager also works with no issues. Task killer apps shouldn't be needed since the lmk is finally managing android as it should. I would highly recommend wiping the system and doing a clean install of the full version. I have also noticed that using restored applications can also cause a decrease performance, but most are fine. If you have any issues let me know, and I may ask for a logcat to help me fix it

Restoring apps from TB can add data from the old rom into the new one that you're restoring the apps into, though its not much compared to flashing a rom and restoring /data from a nandroid through recovery, so its pretty safe to restore apps through TB. However, installing apps from Play Store is better because you're getting a totally clean install of the app with no data at all from the old rom. So yes, restoring apps from play store is better than restoring from TB, and TB is better than restoring /data from the "advanced restore" menu in recovery.

Holy crap I forgot how big of a pain setting up debian testing can be, but royalty worth it. I hope to have some new stuff rolling out soon

This Rom is one of the absolute best we have for the Warp.:) I have ran every version since it started.;) Great Rom Great Dev. Flash it and everything just works perfect. (0) Zero problems.

I've got the new kernel for the DS 1.8 series up and booting. Its based of of hroarks fury mod, and I hope to have it up in the next few weeks. I had a lot of help from DM47021, and can't possibly say thank you enough. I should have a beta of the new kernel ready to go in the next day or two, and after running it for a little while I will need some additional testers. Let me know if your interested.

What is hroarks fury mod??

Awesome thanks xman. I just need to add overclocking to the kernel, and ill have something for you to give a test run. I have it up and running on my device right now and 1.0 ghz isn't bad, but it would be nice to have more

Would love to test kernel when you get it up.:D

There were originally 2 contenders for a modified kernel on the warp. One was built of of kernel 2.6.35.7 from the ZTE Blade, and the other was built off of 2.6.35.11 from the ZTE Fury. Thisbwas due to the fact that the source code ZTE had released for the Warp was broken. Over time the 2.6.35.7 code more or less won the battle. Since that time Hrorak's fury mod was patched to 2.6.35.14. I wanted to see if the warp would benifit from the newer code, so what will be Matrix Kernel is built off of the fury mod. At this point I have been able to get the wifi modules up and working, added the SIO scheduler, and a few governors. I want to add over clocking to the kernel before launching it public. So far it seems like the phone really likes the new code. Applications manager opens in the blink of an eye, and even the menues seem to operate in a more fluid manner. Video playback is a little rough at the moment and I will likely have to make some modifications in that area. I have enabled CIFS in there kernel which will allow windows users to mount shared files. Linux users have always had NFS.

Matrix Kernel is now in RC stages. There were two issues, one of which I think has been fixed.

1) Bluetooth did not function. I am pretty sure that I have corrected this since I have been able to pair with another device. I am relying on my testers to give me the final word.

2) Flashlight does not work.

The Matrix Kernel source is now on github. https://github.com/jimsmith80/Matrix_Kernel I you would like to help, or just want to see how this is done check it out.

I officially deactivated my warp today, but its far from the end of DroidSmith on the warp. I'm learning how to build from sources and hope to have something new soon

Back on DS 1.73 for a while, flashed the pure performance tweak as well.
She is Smoking Hot Now!!!!

Awesome. I'm going to check it out and see what I can integrate into the rom. Its been a few weeks since I've dropped an update. I really want to get my new kernel in here, but it still has bluetooth and flashlight. The upside is that it is super smooth and fast. I may just post it as an add on for now.
