Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] ICON rom V2.0 * released 10/16/12 *

I do not know what that means? I did a back up in cwm? then try to flash and no go? do i un zip on sd before then go in oncwm? I do not know what a nandroid is? I can wait like 3 days for the flash? or tell me how like a 2 yr old please. sorry to bother but loved 1.0

Ok my widdle buddy .. baby steps.

Baby step one. Download the file. This is not a flashable zip.
Baby step two. Unzip the file. You will get a folder with a bunch of files. This is called a nandroid backup.
Baby step three. Place the folder on your sd card. Renember where you put it.
Baby step four. Boot your phone into CWM.
Baby step five. Select wipe data... wipe data
Baby step six. Select wipe cache.... wipe cache
Baby step seven. Select advanced.
Baby step eight. Select wipe dalvik... wipe dalvik
Baby step nine. Select backup and restore
Baby step ten. Select restore
Baby step eleven. Navigate to the folder on your sdcard that you previously unzipped.
Baby step twelve. Reboot your phone when its done restoring.

On a side note .. do you know how to make a backup of your current rom so you can go back in case simething happens?
 
booting right now, there was no was to navigate to that folder i copied all your zip from. so when i hit restore it went back to warp cream
 
I give up, i'll wait for the flash or stick with warp cream this is all new to me so as you can see i'm a little slow

What troubles are you having with the rom booting...? Does it hang up...or what? Maybe I can help...
 
when I go to restore it only has the back up I just did and not the one i put on the sd card in downloads it has 2012 06 12 not the one she has on the first page. when i go in and look on warp cream the file is there
 
Okay. So what I want you to do is extract the zip on your computer, and rename the folder to something like IconRomBackup

With no spaces. Then plug your phone up to your computer and mount USB storage.

Open SD Card > Clockworkmod > Backup > and drag the folder there.

Let it transfer. Give it another minute or two after it transfers, just to be safe.

Reboot into recovery then navigate to backup and restore > IconRomBackup and see if its there. If not...Well...once I get my computer up and running I'll see if I can do a flashable zip file for it...
 
? jzip...? Okay so. Download just. Winzip. Or something like that. Use that. Right click > Extract files. Something like that...It has to be unzipped though. Let me. Download this ROM and see what kind of exension it is and go from there with you
 
Try another zip file. But basically what you need to do is see how its named ICONromv1.0.2.zip? Right click the zip and exctract it. Then move it to your SD card and that's it. The WHOLE folder. So if its ICONromv1.0.2 as the folder, move the WHOLE THING. Don't go into the folder and move the boot.img and whatnot seperately.
 
What OS are you using? If you're using Windows...I'd suggest 7zip or winzip or winrar. My download got corrupted somehow so I'm redoing it.
 
Mike I sent you a PM. I just redownloaded the file and I can extract it just fine. What you'll see once you download the 7zip from the link is a file named 2012-09-06.01.22.18. That entire folder needs to go to your SD card under clockworkmod > backup. THEN you'll be set I believe
