Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Warp OEM 2.70

This is wierd... i wiped davlik and cache and did a system wipe.... reflashed the rom and all my apps are still here... my background also... it didnt change anything and still cannot get settings to work any ideas why wiping isnt doing anything to my phone? I always loose everything when i flash roms... this is a first for me

Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik ,reboot recovery, install flash. In that order.

It is my experience that CWM does not always "wipe" everything. A lot of people suggest that you should wipe more than once (ok no bathroom jokes :) )
 
Okay, I just tested on my dev unit and the settings icon is there and works... perhaps this is one of those cases where you need to explicitly wipe /data, then reflash WOEM, then restore your apps with a management program.

EVERYTHINK working perfect.
Flashed WOEM2.0, tested all I use: calls, gps, google voice, wifi, usb tether, msgs, flashlight, camera, screenshot,...

Only thing not working was "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot", but installed Barnacle Wifi Tether & all ok.

Using Lightning Launcher & SetCPU, this works very very fast but 100% stable.

Ok finally got a chance to tweak alittle bit and ran across something, I don't run a lot of programs in the back ground( im kinda anal about that, from my early computer days lol) but I noticed when I went to uninstall sys apps in uninstaller pro it wont let me and says system error and wont uninstall like google maps, browser etc, any ideas there sir...:D

Tonight I got down to the nitty gritty on this thing, and found a cpl bugers. So I did a SUPER WIPE 3, flashed it, installed all my apps, and now this is running better than expected!
I should have wiped it completely the other day, nothing bad, but I knew it could be better. Gonna do a benchmark here in a bit.

Yo doc... how the hell u get 6000???? I need to learn how to tweak this phone and roms. I set on performance and only hit 5200 on that cyanoid rom I hit 5800

Don't do performance, do what the kernel is rated for, sio/smartassv2, check what u have running in the background, all that extra stuff adds up, turn off/uninstall what u don't use...........;)
 
Chrome will only run on Android 4.0 and above. The chrome themed Maxthon browser will be as close as you can get.

Merc I tried it out briefly tonight. Had issue with apps, when installing apps from Play or restoring from backup screen went black and froze. Required battery pull. Most likely a bad download I think. Need my phone tomorrow so I have restored my nOOb backup, but promise I'll download and try again tomorrow. Very interested in the Power Nap script. Something I think you should release to be used in other ROMS. :-)
 
Aha, so that's the issue with Chrome. I'm not a Chromer so I wasn't aware of that. I can look into doing a port, but I can't promise anything there :-)

Maybe I'll make PowerNap available in the Download center. Good idea :-)

The benchmark I got was on Performance with the Deadline I/O scheduler with 1805MHz set for both the minimum and maximum speeds. Also, it was done right out-of-the-box, with no applications installed as of yet :)
