Root [Boost Mobile] ROM's confirmed working for SPH-L710T

Hello people. I recently acquired a 710T and it is only a wifi phone for my purposes. I would like to first thank everyone here for all of the extremely useful info and links for this device, and cartersball for this thread, and especially the person who acquired and shared the NF4 tar, elsewhere on the forum, the dumbestnoob or something to that effect, sorry if I butchered your name. My question is, I have flashed a few roms so far, really enjoying the cm11 snapshot m10 with the dkp kernel, but the battery life was less than adequate lets say. I know battery life is dependent upon the user and may vary wildly from person to person and on many factors, but i always have screen dim, and everything off pretty much cept wifi and if im using bluetooth, do the touchwiz roms with the updated kernel for the 710T, in anyones personal opinion have decent battery life? Thank you in advance for any input cos right now im back to stock but i sorely miss viper4android.

You can use viper on stock. Just install it in system/priv-app and switch sound in settings from audio fx to viper.

Thankyou for the info. I wasn't sure if the build prop needed to be modified for this s3 like on the s5, for the time being my curiosity got the best of me and I flashed octos-L. Using jetaudio as every time I have attempted installing lolliviper even with the selinux mode changer things never seem to end well. Thanks again for the quick response. Quite impressed with octos also.

The octos ROM works on my sprint L710 TVPU 0AA3?

D2bst is for the triband models. Boost was the only one known when they created the device tree for it, so it got named d2bst.

Super good info. Too bad I didn't find this until after trying so many SPH-710 ROM. Oh well, learned a lot as usual. Thank you.

Flashed back to stock and updated to AOA3, then it updated to AOF2. Said I would not be able to flash back to older version. Any thoughts on flashing back with ANF4?

What Would be my instructions from the all mightiest, for the MIUI V5? There is the OTA, the OMNI, or do I got right at the top for the 6? There is the d2lte as well. What is OTA? Is that "Over the air"? By, I, I mean we. That is the Wife is going to love this ROM. Is very appealing. Have a good weekend. Of to auction off my laptops. Please. and thankyou.

Can't get the latest version of MIUI on. Maybe it was the download. Going to try Team OctOS, and an older MIUI. The newest MIUI said it couldn't do it in TWRP. The TWRP refresh that team OctOS has you use. Any help please.

On the Team OctOS site, in the devices supported/samsung/galaxy s3(d2lte)/galaxy s3 triband(d2refreshspr) they have both a twrp for the 710T and a rom for this model. I believe they have both an odin tar or a recovery version. To flash their rom you will need this recovery. If you later want to flash other roms you will need the twrp for the boost d2, I believe its a modified d2spr twrp, or also the philz works too. I of course assume you have the 710T from what youve stated. I tried a couple of the miui roms. V6 was gorgeous but the screen flickered bad when scrolling. V5 was somewhat dated looking but seemed to work fine, in my opinion on my device. The team octos rom in my opinion is flawless. The cm11 snapshot m10 works good but seemed to have minor issues. The cm11 and miui roms need the modified dkp kernel also for rotation etc to be correct. Best of luck. If you meant that you put on the teamoctos twrp and tried to flash miui, it is meant at this point only for octos rom. You must use the modified d2spr twrp or philz to flash that. Links are around here somewhere. Also, I once tried the cm12.1 I think it is, on their site for the d2lte, and it seemed to be decent.

Hello board,
I would like to thank you all again. I'm sorry I asked all those questions about customizing, then went begging for something more stock-like. My wife is into the stock. Good news is I have my own phone, and because of an inept seller on Ebay it's the Triband. Yay! I have settled on Philz touch, with Liquid Smooth Rom. It runs very nice, but there is some quirks. 1.) The keyboard sometimes is slow to pull up even requiring a tap to get it up. This seems to come and go depending on how I transferred and flashed the zip. As in mount usb in recovery, or while the phone is on. 2.) The home screen blinks a few times at start up. Not sure if this is just the Kernal controls built into Liquid Smooth, or again because I've been a flash maniac. 3.) I've also been trying to get Link2sd working. I come from a Transform Ultra and needed it back then. I've read the two threads about it, and I think I'm going to give up. I don't need it that bad, but now I'm worried I have a disorganized file system do to the formatting and partitioning. If someone could please help me, and answer these questions. A.) Should the Rom's be placed on the SDcard (internal), or the extSDcard (storage1) for flashing, and should the transfer be done in recovery, or with the phone booted up? Seems to work quicker with the phone booted up (unless in TWRP, it's fast!). B.) Does formatting SD remove partitions? C.) Move to SD in Link2sd didn't seem to change the storage stats, and now I have two files in file explorer, "external_sd" and "extSDCard" with identical files in them. Is that bad/ a result of poor partitioning?
D.) My desktop wallpaper in Apex won't stick. It goes back to stock after reboot. Not sure again if this is of my own doing with all the crap I've been doing.

Now that I have a phone I will whole hearty pledge it to a Dev who need some testing. Thanks for all your help Dev Gods. Sorry for the long post.
