So, im new to this a2sd stuff, never used diff partitions, never had the need to....my question at first was about the zipalign b/c when you run a2sd gui it says its off, but i put that back on, no problem...my other question is...well first..it says a2sd ON, meaning apps are on SD, but all the apps i have/had prior to the beta update, are not on my sd, they are on the phones internal. Im a bit confused because a2sd GUI doesn't show an option to move apps to sd...if I do the manual method via settings manage applications, move to sd, will it move to the correct placement? the sd-ext? Is there another app to use in addition to a2sd gui that will make this process easier? Also...a2sd seems to read my sd ext partition as much smaller then it actually is...im not sure if because the dalvik cache is on there that it won't even show that as readable memory...but..just wanted to ask...and lastly, since my class 10 32 gig should come tonight, what's a recommended sd-ext size...and also, What is recommended, putting every app you possibly can on you sd? (to repeat above question, what method is used to do such)? Thanks.

Ok, my personal thoughs about this ROM:

Things I like:
Status bar transparency and style
Speed
(For the most part) Stability
Blue colors (Lol. Blue is the bomb)

Things I don't like:
Battery Indicator (Liked the one from 1.5b)
Few customizations
Play Music not recognizing .mp3 files
Superuser not wanting to update binary

Remove superuser updates first. Settings, applications, manage applications, all, superuser, uninstall updates, then update your binaries, then run apps like TI backup, root explorer, make sure it gains permissions, then update the superuser app again itself.
Also: the theme i just made for this replaces battery icon w/ the gauage style, if you'd like to check it out.

i manually edited the signal bars, UOT doesn't add them in under the right file names

EDIT: And here it is beta 2 of 1.5.1c

Shinjitsu Rom 1.5.1c Beta2

Once again, SHIN, your the man, im real happy...was totally worth the wait, having dalvik on the sd makes a big diff...I would recommend to anyone wanting to really notice a difference to go purchase a decent card, at first i tried this w/ a crappy 8 gig w/ low write speeds, and having the dalvik on the ext actually lowered my read speeds a bit, but, other then that man,, im real happy...unfortunately i need to get this phone replaced b/c it doesnt hold a charge buttt, for now, im happpy =) ty bro A++

It should move the apps to the sdcard when you reboot the phone, it does it automatically, as far as sd-ext size use whatever size you feel is enough. i haven't even gotten started on extreme mods yet, i could make it where all system apps are data apps. but it would be bad used with a2sd because when you unmount the sdcard the phone might crash but i'm not sure. But basically i could make it where every app on the phone would reside on the sdcard. System apps included........

Thanks for the help. I got it working with beta 2. I love this rom. Got a couple of questions now. What app are you using to adjust oc. And also my wifi works great but it causes me to get no cell service till I turn it back off, any ideas. Again I love this rom. Super fast and smooth.

Edit: I also believe it looses the cell signal after screen lock.

I am getting an issue that when i have wifi on and the phone goes to sleep i lose not wifi but phone loses signal so i still have wifi connection but cannot receive or send calls till i shut off wifi so i get signal

That is a problem with the oc kernel and not the rom... shinru has been working on resolving the issue

Hit the thanks button if I helped you in any way please... :-)

is that on his beta 1 or beta 2? I haven't had that issue since I put beta two on yesterday.

Shin problem is...it definately moves the dalvik cache, but it doesn't move any apps. ( the a2sd GUI thinks it already has moved all the apps....but when i go in and check, or use another app like a2sd pro, it shows everything on the phone internal still...) thats why im asking/confused..

i am having the exact same problem. i installed link2sd and checked the settings and link showed the correct partition size and it showed the amount used (i am assuming its the dalvik) but for now i am using link to link apps to my partition and link and a2sd are working fine together. also i have used a partition with every single phone i have ever had and i found that my phone has always run great when i link every app that i can to my partition. some apps dont like the partition and will fc. so ill put the problem apps on my internal memory. i normally go for a 2gb partition but i have had a 4gb partition with no problems.

so your saying u had to use link2sd and it worked this time? u were abl eto link all to sd...b/c his script is supposed to automove, and i guess the a2sd gui just thinks it did, but it doesn't...ill go try link2sd now. link method is better anyway

in link2sd says select file systemof your sd cards second partion,i have a 2 gig partion which do i choose ext2 ext3 ext4 or fat32/fat16 ? iam thinking ext2 am i right i dont wanna mess anything up

That is correct but link does not link the dalvik along with a few other things so for the time being I am using both. if the two apps could be combined it would be the perfect linking app

You won't mess it up if you picked the wrong 1 it will just tell you that it can't create a mount script

well when i pick ext 2 though 4 it says try 32 but now when i open app that option doesnt show, now do i make a symbolic link or just move to sd card?
