I'm posting this here cause Im running this ROM.

Today I upgraded my microsd card from 2gb to 16 gb and now Im having problems with the camera ics+. When I first installed the sd card I formatted it and didn't seem to have any problem, took some pics and videos and everything was good to go. Afterwards, I hooked my phone up to my pc and started transfering files from 1 sd card to the other. When I was finished, I started having problems. Camera force closes everytime I try to use it. If I put the 2gb card in it works fine.

Another thing.... I added this rom to my dropbox so I can get to it quicker. It shows up on my phone but when I go to recovery it's a no go. SD card shows TWRP but nothing in there or moo manager, so i guess its not reading my card? Outside of recovery it shows everything?

So how can I fix? What's the best way to transfer files from 1 sd card to another? Can I restore a titanium backup from a dropbox? Thanks in advance for the help guys!

I had same problem and it fixed on its own. Steps i took before were 2 reboots, installed cameraMX then another reboot. Used the camera button on the side of the phone, that's when it started working. I doubt that had anything to do with it but that's what i did and it started working.

Hello guys I'm having the same problem with the camera I have rebooted seven times about to do eight and have camera FX installed but still no working camera I love the shinjitsu roms I have never had a problem with his work this is disturbing me being I use my camera ALOT I need to know because I was well before my crappy laptop dumped its hard drive I was building my own rom I have to now cancel that project but I have always read never remove the stock email app because the camera won't work without it any ideas please and thank you
 
Hey guys I have a possibly major problem here the stock camera and any other camera I install refuses to open I have seen the reboot until it works I'm on try seven about to do eight but I use my camera daily guys I love shins rooms I've never had any problems before so this is quite a shock to me I was building my own but my hard drive dumped itself so I cancelled it but I've always read that you should never remove the stock email app because the camera can't function without it I don't see it on my device I hope I can resolve this also I seem to have a problem posting things on here through chrome so I'm switching to boat but if this has already been posted disregard this please
 
@obi..... i would backup all my important data and reinstall the rom. Do the cache wipes and the factory, install then wipe caches again. Just a suggestion!

I had problems with my camera but it was my error. Maybe leave the other camera apps off for now and make sure the camera ics+ is working properly, THEN mess with the other apks.

Did what you told me to even did it again but to no avail absolutely astonished that shinjitsu has become another no go for me will miss it until it is permanently fixed

Ok. I have finally recreated the error you are experiencing. If Wi-Fi is left on it will switch seamlessly. If you turn Wi-Fi off while not in range and then turn it back on when in range there is no throughput. A reboot is required to gain throughput. I haven't been experiencing it since I never turn Wi-Fi off even when I'm out of range. I'll try a couple of different build.prop comparisons and see what I can come up with.

Also found today something that seemed like sticky toggles but it isn't really. I had a phone ringtone set and decided to change to another one for a quieter environment. Much to my surprise when my phone rang, the original tone played. I opened settings and looked to make sure I had changed the ringtone, indeed I had, but even though it was set to another tone it played the original tone every time the phone rang. After a reboot the tone changed to the one I had selected. I have tested this with both phone and notification tones and found that it happens with both.
 
Some good trouble shooting. Wish I could help fix this stuff I just don't know enough about it. Also Google play creates a new device associated with your account. That's every time you flash. Up to ten devices. You'll have to go in and delete devices to get Google Music to work. A maximum of four device changes can be made in a year. Anyway to keep the same device while flashing?
 
The only way I know of is by using Titanium Backup. It gives you a warning upon launch that the device id had changed and gives you the option to revert back to the old id.
 
If your having issues with the camera revert back to 1.5.2.2 I will upload a new update tomorrow. I finally got an off day lol, Sorry for the absence.

Camera is crashing due to an outdated library file associated with the CameraICS+

EDIT: Goes much deeper then that some sort of permissions is keeping it from accessing the camera

EDIT2: Took longer then expected but i fixed the issue with the camera. Seems like everything is working just fine now. I will upload the update overnight and post a link in the morning after i drop my son off at daycare.

So the link in the OP is the updated file? I thought it was just me with issues with Camera, so i flashed a dozen times. Hope this update solves the issues, i had other processes force closing also. Seem to be random and only after reboots. Flashing Now.


EDIT: either the file in the OP is not updated, or the updated file did not fix force close. Camera is still force closing. Does anyone have any suggestions. I did factory wipe, clean cache/dal.cache...installed zip...cleaned caches again...then reboot....Am i missing something?

1.5.2.4 is on goomanager.
 
Im still not able to send and receive pictures through text messages. ive re flashed the rom 3 times. I didn't have any issues with Shinjitsu Rom 1.5.1c Beta-3 with sending and receiving pictures

What ROM are you comming from? If its beta 3 a full wipe is needed also apn_config.xml in /system/etc folder and make sure boost mobile is set as default.
