Root [Boost Mobile] Slow data speed

OK I'm tired of it here in columbus GA I'm running boost 61009 prl which is what came on the phone do to me not having a computer anymore I'm running noob rom the last one released with dtm 1.8 with that said is it normal to have data speed of 12 kb/s which night time it goes up to a avg of 50-55 kb/s but day time its always around 12 is there anything I can do to up my speed?
 
Data speeds will vary depending on network traffic and daytime tends to be heavier...only tweak I found to have any significant effect (besides a new prl) was changing DNS settings...
 
Add to build.prop

net.rmnet0.dns1=8.8.8.8
net.rmnet0.dns2=8.8.4.4
net.ppp0.dns1=8.8.8.8
net.ppp0.dns2=8.8.4.4
net.dns1=8.8.8.8
net.dns2=8.8.4.4
 
You could try going into the ##3282# menu and changing the DSS Proxy Server. You will need your MSL to access the menu and make edits. Be extremely careful not to make changes unless you understand what you are doing.There are two server addresses that seem to provide better results for me.

144.226.247.31 is the original

74.125.79.104 will work

172.028.223.007 works also

After you change the server address you must hit the menu soft key at bottom of phone and select save for the edits to take effect.

Thanks man but I'm not so sure about that lol I would mess it all the way up
 
If possible try a different prl. I change to 11119 and my speed has gone up from 200-300 to 600-800 with night time jump to 1000-1800. Going to work ATM did 4 pull at 1000 while moving in traffic

It's really no harder than entering text into any text field. The warning is more for "Don't buck around with other settings". A profile update through About Phone in the settings menu will fix almost anything you could mess up, but it is more wise to just know better than to mess with stuff you don't understand. Lol.
 
OK I used root browser to post it ill see what its like and give y'all a update in a lil while (why didn't boost put them in there )
 
anyone got new IP's then the 3 up there, I nornally get 700 but 5 or 6 times 1200. it stream music no problem.how do I get sprint TV?
 
it was not in noob and data moved a lil bit faster not much tho it was a avg of 12 now about 15 and havnt been on it long enough to till a avg for night but any faster is better so thanks draw but if anybody else has any other idea other then changeing prl ple let me know hope somone can make it possible to change prl from phone one day boost can do it with out the phone even being in there hands im sure we can to
 
Lol...nevermind. I just reread op. You could reflash stock and use boostzone to update prl then flash back to n00b.
