What would keep the stock email app from version 2 of the stock apps you posted from installing? I located the email.apk file using the Doggie Filer and launched it. It goes through the setup steps and then says "Application not installed" and I've no idea why it didn't work. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

Its not an installable app... you have to place it in /system/app/... set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot

Thats usually caused by having the same app in not in all cases but in some hope that helps

I can't believe this at all, with this rom my battery is only at 52% without charge for 2 days 3 hours, and 14 minutes. I don't what you did, but this is the first time my battery has lasted longer than about 16 hours. Love it :)

Okay, I feel like a complete idiot since the gmail app is on the desktop of the screenshot for this rom -- but mine installed without the gmail app and when I go to the market it says my device is incompatible? f

And I figure I must we the only one having this problem because nobody else here has mentioned it.

If somebody could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I've got google voice search, that wasn't a problem, but no gmail.

Well, now I feel more of an idiot -- I installed it com.google.android.gm*.apk manually from a backup and now it's fine. What's peculiar is it seems one out of three apps won't install via android market, but if I can install them manually I love this rom so much I don't really care. (plus all my favorites have installed so far).

For anyone having troubles with the market flash this: http://db.tt/Yvhmk18C
It will erase your data but you can backup all apps with titanium backup... DO NOT USE NANDROID TO RESTORE DATA OR THIS WILL NOT WORK...

Thank you for reminding me of what to do to get the stock email app running. Do all or just some of the stock apps need to be installed this way?

Here goes a link to ALL of the stock apps... they are also deodexed... http://db.tt/aljRmvot

Yeah... download this file... it has all of the stock apps... just place the browser apk in /system/app/... change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot

Another app question has come to mind. I've used Smart Tools on several phones and enjoy playing with it. With this ROM everything seems to be working like it was on the stock ROM except the Sound Meter. It's pegged at 90dB and it doesn't move a bit. :hmmmm: Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Try using cwm and fixing permissions

Running Fix Permissions from CWM did not correct the problem. I've emailed the app developer for ideas. Do you have any other ideas?

Finally finished optimizing all of the system apps and I managed to shave 20 full MB off of the rom

Why can't I download a lot of apps? I can't even get Instagram or Facebook. I had to revert back to stock, download all the apps I wanted, backup using ASTRO, and then install them again. Will that be fixed? I love the ROM but I just want all my apps. Also, I am willing to test 1.5
Thanks!

PS - I'm a beginner.

I posted a market fix on the original post right below the downloads and as for testing... I'm still in the process of creating the next version
