Ok jet and Hawg, I have tried to recreate the fix posted by Hawg and I ran into some issues. Beginning with both WiFi and 3G off I turned on 3G by using the built in power control widget. After confirming that I had a working 3G data connection, I turned on WiFi using the same power control widget. After a minute I still did not see the WiFi indicator (not even the grey one) so I went into options Wireless Networks and noticed that my WiFi connection stated Error. After a reboot I went into options Wireless Networks to turn off the 3G data that was still working to begin the process again. When I clicked on Mobile Networks I got pop up stating The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. With the button to force close. I clicked on Force Close and the 3G data turned off, then turned itself back on.

I have recreated this exact process 3 times now. Any ideas??

Can you turn off wifi and 3g? If you can, restart the phone and confirm you have no indicators on the notification bar. Then start the procedure in the second edit to the post, the one with * in front of the steps. Also, use Settings and not a widget. Let us know how it goes...

Yes I can turn off both. Just have to use the widget to turn off 3G because going to settings, wireless networks, mobile network causes a force close every time. I've been using the procedure from the second edit the whole time. Every time I try my WiFi shows turning on, then says error when I try to do the step to turn on WiFi.

Hmmm, I haven't had anything like that happen to me so I'm not sure what to tell you to do that would be a "slick" solution, but I'll tell you what I'd do if it were my phone acting weird like yours. First, I'd make sure I have good backup of my system and data, both TB and nandroid. Then I'd turn off my wifi and 3g networks. Then I'd boot into recovery and wipe Dalvik, wipe the cache, and probably wipe the data too. Then I'd start normally and go through the process described above and remember it takes a few moments for network changes to take affect sometimes. If I still had the same problem with force closings, I would drop back and punt. I'd go back to the installation procedure and even download the files again to make sure I had the most recent updates. I cut and pasted the instructions I'd follow. The major change I'd make is I would download and flash the stock 08Bc ROM so I'd know from where I start. I think this is a very important step. Here's the link to the stock rom to use: https://www.dropbox.com/s/my479jmm25rc06e/19-0B08C no rec root.zip Then I'd do the following.....
icon1.gif
WCS 1.5 Installs fine from zip file
Here is what I did, step-by-step.
* Downloaded zip from here: http://db.tt/uk9kEWKC
* Copied zip to root directory of sd card.
* Flashed zip
* Wiped cache, data, & dalvik. Also fixed permissions.
* Restarted phone. (It took a while to load so be patient.)
* Enabled keyboard by launching the messaging app and long pressing an entry field.
* Enabled Wifi
* Restarted phone normally
* Entered account data to check wifi
* All is well.

I know this isn't an elegant solution but I think it would help. I really am sorry I don't have a simple solution but maybe jetx2x has. Your symptoms are just too weird for me not to want to reinstall if it were me. Again, I wish it were simpler.
:)

Well, now I've got my wireless and 3G swapping like it should without restarting. I'm not exactly sure what I did but it involved turning both wifi & 3G off, waiting a couple of minutes and turning on wifi without 3G being enabled. Wifi didn't work so I turned on 3G and got what I expected...no change. Then I turned off wifi and 3G worked. I left 3G on and enabled wifi and waited a few moments until wifi indicator turned blue to my surprise. I had Internet...hooray. Now it swaps correctly when I turn the wifi on my router on and off and on and off and on again. Seems to be okay. Can anyone else recreate this? :confused: :hmmmm:

Edit: I'm still trying to make it happen again. :)
Edit again: I was able to recreate my success so I want to put here what I did. Now I can go all day without restarting for network changes. Here goes:
* I started with both wifi and 3g off. No indicator was on the notification bar next to my phone signal indicator. I had no network turned on.
* Turned 3g on and got internet connectivity. Checked with browser.
* Enabled wifi and it connected and replaced the 3g icon but had no connectivity.
* Turned 3g off, waited a minute or two, and there was no change in the wifi connection.
* Turned 3g back on and there was no change in the wifi connection.
* Turned wifi off and 3g gained internet connectivity almost immediately.
* Turned wifi on, waited a minute or two, and it connected to the internet.
I checked that network switching now occurs without my intervention by turning the home network wifi off and on. Both networks switched as expected.

Now I don't have to restart when I leave or come home. Hooray. I really hope someone else can confirm that this works. Thanks.
Thank you so much this worked perfect for me! This rom is amazing, fantastic work guys!!!

I'm glad it helped. It sure made this ROM usable and I like it very much, just like you do. jetx2x is the one who deserves credit for the hard work he put in while developing this. He's still working hard on it, too. Remember to buy him a Shirley Temple since he's only 17 years old. lol :) :) :) Seriously, if you can help, please do. You can find a link on the original post in this thread. You da' man, jet!!!

I say hell yeah!! :P

Its in the OP... and if anyone wants to know what I've been working on as of late just check this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334922

I cant easily port it because its built using touchwiz but I've been reading up and learning how to create and modify layouts so ill be able to do some of the stuff manually on my own... I hope to have this completed by v2.0 or 2.5... keep in mind that this will take some time and I will probably have to release it piece by piece

Its when the screen times out and you are unable to turn it back on... zte used a different lcd panel on the newer warps... and it required newer drivers to be used correctly from what I've heard... there is an easy fix that is already included in the rom now so no one should have these issues

OK so WOW!! Ive had crappy battery life for the last 3 weeks due to flashing roms... and I finally decided to clear the battery stats... and now I'm 6 and a half hours off the charger with 59% battery left with NON-STOP usage... best I've ever had... and btw I'm using the stock battery

Yeah... it definately fixed mine... if I hadn't wiped the stats then my battery would've been dead hours ago... even in airplane mode without the cell standby I would've had like 20-30% left by now

I took a look at that thread. It's am impressive thread with over 15500 posts. I can understand everyone's interest in that he's done a wonderful job on the ICS look for the Samsung Galaxy S II. I look forward to seeing what you do for the Warp. Thanks.
