Should this rom move away from Ice Cream Sandwich and Towards Jelly Bean?

Yes, installing WCS version 1.6 is a new ROM so flashing it through CWM is the way to do it. You don't need a PC since you can get to the OP on this site through the browser to get the files to your SD card. Just download it from the OP and after you get 1.6 installed, you can then flash the OTA for v1.6 from the OP. After you get it flashed then you can use OTA to update to v1.6.3 or whatever the latest update is. As you always do, be sure to backup before flashing the ROM. :)
 
So the only problem I'm still having is with custom fonts. Using JRummy's font installer with install path /system/fonts/ Does this need to be changed? Thanks again for any help.
 
I liked the rom, but it was killing my battery, so I uninstalled it. With the shinjitsu rom, I was getting.g nearly 48 hours of uptime from a full charge with lite use. About 6 he's of time if making calls and using data a fair amount. This ics rom cut the idle uptime to about 6 hours... 2 or 3 with moderate use. I tried various battery extending apps, but none really made a difference.
 
No, you have not missed anything. We are all waiting on an update to be released that fixes it. On my alarm app I had to remember where the snooze button was. :-) I wish I could offer more help.

Unfortunately, we have to wait on the developer to come up with the solution and publish it through an OTA or new ROM to flash. Only jetx2x can answer when it will happen.

PS: I'd love to be shown wrong so if someone has solved the problem, please let us all know. Thanks.

I was wondering if someone was to create a different theme using UOT kitchen if it would be possible to fix some of the color issues
 
So i just installed wcs but my home key is not working correctly. I tried messing with the settings all i want it to do is go to the home screen when i press it. Can any 1 plz help me with the settings?
 
I am not sure that anyone has had this problem ? I dl'd this rom and I don't have service right now, but I am trying to set the time to eastern time zone and it won't allow me !! I am guessing that it is because of me not having service which means the GPS isn't working !! Any ideas since I use my phone for a watch as well...LOL...BTW other then the time I LOVE this rom ....very clean and full of possibilities !! thank you so much for all the time that you and other developers put in to this to make our phones better !! thanks again ....Cyn :O)
 
I had the timezone issue when I went to China. Download ClockSync and TimeZoneDB for ClockSync from the Play Store. Just go through the ClockSync's preferences and adjust away. Good luck!

You can try booting into CWM. Go to "Advanced" and then to "Fix Permissions". While you are there you may try deleting the "Cache" and wiping the "Dalvik Cache". Then reboot. Hopefully, this will help.
 
Hi All,

First, jetx2x mad props for this ROM. It's the first one that I have tried and I love it! U r talented!

Have been using OverDrive on my phone (b4 & after WCS) and I find that the volume is now abnormally low. I thought it was a universal problem with the volume but the volume in my other apps tunein, pandora, winamp, & netflix are working fine. Has anyone else had this problem with OverDrive/WCS or have any idea what the problem might be? I tried Volume+ but it has no effect on OD although it works on my other apps.

I'd appreciate any insight y'all have.

None of the dropbox links worked for me, they would download about 50% and then just time out. If anyone else can post working links it would be appreciated.

I have no idea what happened when you tried to get the file because I just downloaded version 1.6 from the OP without any problems. Maybe Dropbox was having some temporary trouble. Try it again. :)
