Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

it was for a different phone of mine when rooting it. Instructions it required to be in fastboot and it had to be unlocked through moto site and for the first time, it told me I needed that driver but i figured it out it was the wrong adb driver it wouldn't let me unlock the phone with out the right driver. Means that it seems as if i get more assistance here

Does anyone know what the latest TWRP for the Sph l710 not the t model is? I see the spr for sprint but not d2lte. On boost, I used Twrp on the prevail and this s3 about a year ago but was thinking about trying again. Had no problems with the old Twrp when using it.

Twrp doesn't with right with this phone. The newer versions can't see external storage. There is an older version that worked but i can't remember what it's issue was. You're best off using Philz.

Edit: added stuff

Got confused i meant my message for another forum im doing this from my s3
The phone is xt1042 moto g 4g
Now its boot looping . Then i found out twrp fail to make a good back up of the stock rom....does anyone know some good roms for this phone

Ok, seemed to work fine when I was on 4.3 a while back. Didn't have any problems at all.

That may have been it. After kit Kat is when I think it started messing up. You could always try it and see. The version I have on my sdcard from the jelly bean days that must have worked fine is 2.6.3.

I did n it gave me the rom that is no longer working on the phone n its bootlooping. Means this forum seems to be more proactive n full of helpful people.

Sorry brutha I'am just now seeing your message on here I could have helped you on this topic.
to my knowledge they didn't make any for d2lte Im guessing could be used as sprint, virgin mobile, boostmobile, as to d2spr is just sprint but also can be used on boostmobile phone.
the newest one I was able to find was
TWRP 2.8 - Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint) page

Hello guys and gals. I just wanted to let everyone know that bilgerryan has released a Barebones version of his Wicked S5 Xperience ROM. He's removed approximately 100mbs from the full build. I've been running it since it's release and it's running GREAT! Battery life is great and for some reason both the full build and Barebones have better signal strength than other ROMs too. If you want to try a great ROM then give the Wicked S5 Xperience Barebones build a try. If you want all the bells and whistles, give the full build a try. Both are excellent.

Here's a link to the Wicked S5 Xperience Barebones build. If it doesn't take you directly to his post with the link just scroll up or down a few post and it'll be there. You can go to the OP to get the extras for the build.

No probably not, did you wipe all data on internal sd, meaning everything, songs ect? You have to when switching from lollypop to back. You need to keep backups on external, when you wipe you will loose them if on internal.

Thank u good sir for responding back.
I did a bkup of everything and saved it to my computer. Then i did a wipe data to install new rom . Wipe dalvik cache. Then manufacture reset. Then format internal sd. Then intall Lp liquid smooth 5.0 it installed but i lost data services. Then i did everything again and tried installing wicked s5 full n it craps out with error "system cannot unmount" no such file or directory....:(

Are you doing format /data and /data/media (/sdcard)?

You know now u mention that i think i remember having to do that at one point of time. All i have is 3g . Now n then when browsing internet it says internet not available. When i tried to install bliss stalk got all the way to activation thru a telephone call something like it dialed 9922* message i hear is ur activation can not be completed at this time please try again later.

Thank you good sir i will try that.
Im still puzzled over the facts why i cant install any of my roms. Only way i was able to recover was to restore from 1 of my bkups i had saved n other bkups refuse to restore as well. Would anyone suggest i try flashing phills again ? N start from ground up. Cause it seems like something isnt right bout my phone.

You format internal SD in philz, in advanced settings. It actually says format data, data/media. You have to do that after when going from lollipop to KitKat. And after all that wiping you definitely need an APN fix. And when it says activating your phone and starts to dial, just skip that part. You don't need activation if you use an APN fix.

Worse case scenario you could Odin the stock tar again, but you shouldn't really have to. I always have to flash the APN fix when using an AOSP based ROM to get 4G to work.

I hope you get it straightened out.
