Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

Ty cwhatever, madbat, wetbiker, mydian:D still no ♤4g♤ but I finally got my phone up n running . I had to start from scratch --->odin with philz touch then had to root my phone then format data then install s5 exp wicked barebones. works great!:D i think i may just need that apn fix as someone mentioned...? thanks again guys for all ur help. I knew when coming here I know for sure i could recieve top notch support..
 
i cant find the apn fix keeps coming back the af error not found anyone got a spare.. lol they can spare.:p my 4g not working . thank you

Seems to be resolved but now n then txt seems to lock up n forces my phone to shut down n restart..??? Sometimes my web browser forced closed to home screen. Strange anyone else have this problem with s5 exp bare bones for gal s3? I think im gonna try doing a logcat on it...:D not sure how well thats gonna go lol

Well I decided to go with liquid smooth LP man does it run smooth...... :) 4g is mia but still everything else works great though lil sluggish but smooth.

THE wicked s5 Xperience v2.2 works awesome..... just about everything works as it should except i cant log into my facebook account through the accounts tab...but other than that its smoth and fast!!!! luv it!!!! been running it for 2 days now..no issues
 
I agree with ya I know it was something I done just Dont know what it was. But I'm kinda digging this LP LS . I may switch back to S5 wicked...

The tw kernels are built for sprint. You will lose data unless you flash a sprint ROM with it. Wicked s5 experience is a good one.

1. Odin the Stock NF4
2. Odin PhilZ latest recovery
3. Boot into said recovery
4. Choose wipe to install new rom
5. Flash an ND8 based TW Rom
6. Flash updated Kernel
7. Flash Boost or Virgin APN Fix (if on Sprint skip this)
8. Reboot and profit

As far as data issues, a profile update and reboot will fix that sometimes.

I wish i could help you out with better info but i don't have the T model. Lucky for you, many of the members here and over at xda have that model.

The s3 is kinda slow here and the T model is kinda got some action, wish the didn't have them together for everyones sake!
 
I still use tapatalk 2 and they now moved all the rooted s3 stuff to one location, all carrier's. I used to click on a saved section and that is saying no longer found. I went back into phones and then s3 and no more boost mobile, it is now just rooted s3. Guess have to get used to the new way again.
 
My LS LP 4.0v I can't find a camera that works. N my GPS keeps getting lost. Error newrk changed when using the browser Not complaining is anyone else having same luck lol :)

Hey wetbiker, we spoke about a year ago and I remembered your username because you seem to be the resident expert on the L710 Boost phone.

I recently tried to update to Lollipop. This rom in particular: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/rom-samsung-galaxy-s3-liquidsmooth-t2958917

The flashing went fine and everything but I didn't have any service, so I tried to use an APN fix that a user linked in the forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60105911&postcount=258

That still didn't fix my issue, so I tried to update to the newest modem, MD4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787677

This didn't work, so I decided to restore my backup that I made using Philz of my working QuantumRom Kit Kat rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2731752

However, after restoring from the backup I still don't have service! And I'm kind of panicking because I have to leave for work in 2 hours and I'll need my phone to do basically everything. EDIT: Fixed it by restoring from my backup AFTER having flashed the NDC modem again.

When coming from a lollipop ROM and going back to anything older you need to wipe the entire internal sdcard. Then you will have to dial ##72786# and let it do its thing, that should update everything in you should receive service back.
 
Ty cwhatever I was just getting ready to say same thing seems he had same problem I had cause of being 2different operating systems lollipop n other being KitKat
U have to boot into recovery n format ur internal SD storage to install lollipop and when it going back to KitKat
Then ##727862# or #72786# won't work on lp L's 5.0 will work with KitKat n that code starts the ota activation

process to restore ur services.

Glad you got it working but just so you know the MD4 modem is ancient (from 2013) so you shouldn't have flashed that to begin with.

NJ3 is the newest Boost modem/firmware.
 
Hey i have a question. my phone was hard bricked but was recovered with ndc brick image. rom is back on phone with update nj3. Now i cant update profile or prl. My network say Samsung. I even called Boost but that didnt fix it. How do i get my phone to register on boost network and update my profile?

What rom are you on now? You can flash just about any TW rom and update profile and prl. Make a backup of now, flash a TW rom, update, backup that rom, then restore your now and all is good. Then you have that TW rom to fall back on to update at any time.
