Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

Hello, can anyone tell me if it is possible to update prl and profile on any Aosp rom?? I have tried several different Aosp roms and cannot find anywhere to do this.
Thanks

Well, for what it's worth, boost's OTA is already nagging me to update from MOAR. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to that.

So, I confess I rather liked the look of jd's 4.3 MK5. But the main thing that I really need/appreciate is being able to properly tether like I am able to with MOAR. Surprisingly, stock 4.1.2 fails to run 3DMark at all, but MOAR will. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have a S3 on boost mobile and I'm rooted and running a custom rom. I am having a connectivity issue and was wondering if you could offer any suggestions? Here is my issue, when I first flash a rom and set it up, I have data, (3 and 4G). Once I set up my wifi and turn wifi off, it breaks the data connection. I can no longer get a data connection at anytime. When I have these issues I am on a Aosp rom, I have tried several different Aosp roms and I have the same issue. However, I have tried several touchwiz roms and I don't have that iisue. I can tun wifi on and off and after turning that off, my data connection comes back. I am at a loss for what is happening. I would like very much to use some of the 4.3 Aosp roms but because of this iissue, cannot. I also have to point out that the touchwiz roms where 4.1 android whereas the Aosp roms were 4.3. Myabe it is something with android 4.3 but I have done several google searches and cannot find anyone else that has these same issues or any solutions.

Haven't experienced this directly, but just for grins have you updated PRL, profile etc. while on TW before reflashing AOSP? Also, maybe a different modem-MG2, MK5, MK3, MD4?

Sounds like you to flash the APN fix. Check this thread.

Do you know where abouts in this thread the APN fix is? This thread is 59 pages and I would hate to go through every page. Also, I installed the APN backup and restore but it won't let me do it on the aosp rom. Said I don't have permissions, I did it awhile age on a tw rom but data still didn't work. I was gonna see if I can do it on this aosp rom. Also, I don't see a superuser app in my drawer but I have tb and can backup and restore apps so it looks like I do have superuser permissions.

You have to do two things with APN Backup to make it work

1. Move it from /user to /system (Titanium can do this for you)
2. Disable ICS Check from within app

OK, I did what you directed and was successful in restoring the boost APN and rebooted and still don't have data. Any suggestions?

Something that is a little peculiar under settings, more, data network, network operator, it says error searching for network, but when I flash my 4.1 rom, have no data issue whatsoever.

I have tried 3 different modems mk3, mk5, and mg2, all with no success. Before I flashed this aosp rom, I did a prl and a profile update on my tw rom. I am out of ideas.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I am sure it has nothing to do with Android build number, but try flashing jdsingle76's 4.3 Knox free stock ROM, then go from there. Are you on the MG2 boot loader or MD7 (not modem but actual boot loader); MD7 was not always compatible for flashing JellyBean, so you may need MG2 boot loader as well, just brainstorming.

Not sure what bootloader I'm on how do I check that? Thanks for the suggestion.

Did you accept the Knox 4.3 OTA or are you running previous firmware? Only way to check for Knox is in download mode, if you have a line at the bottom of the screen referring to "Warranty Bit" of either zero or one, you have it. I ask because there is a stock .tar available for the MG2 bootloader, it saved my butt in the early days of my owning this phone. However, and I am going to yell here just for everyone's sake, DO NOT USE THAT FILE OR ANY FILE LIKE IT (RETURN TO STOCK VIA ODIN) IF YOU HAVE THE KNOX BOOTLOADER!! Unless you like expensive paperweights that is! If, and only if, you are Knox free, that bootloader may be helpful.

I am not running knox. Previous firmware that I've been using to flash and restore roms. The only rom I have installed recently is the static power rom that did not have knox in it.

Would the bootloader cause my data issues I'm having with wifi breaking my data connection?

I truly don't know, just speculating that the MG2 bootloader might give you a proper flash, in case you still have MD7, since it was designed to flash JellyBean ROM's and the MD7 was an Ice Cream Sandwich bootloader. Congratulations on being Knox free by the way.
