So I finally rooted my EVO, thanks to all those who made it possible. I wanted to try this How to add percentage to HTC EVO taskbar battery icon. I followed the instuctions and placed the zip on my sd card, booted into recovery installed and then rebooted. When my phone came back up it was stuck in a boot loop, so I went back into recovery flashed the nandriod I made last night and all is well.Does this need a different rom because I'm still on the stock rom. What else could have caused the boot loop.

I did the exact same thing when I first upgraded to gingerbread. and got the same bootloop result. I ended up using a custom ROM that had the battery percentage indicator. Not sure if there's a simple mod for GB that gives you the percentage on a mostly stock ROM...
