so i rooted my evo with revolutionary and i had miui and i decided to put a nocturnel rom on so i flashed it and it boot looped and i wiped my phone and now when i start it up, the 2.2 version of android 1.0 keeps boot looping and no matter how many times i wipe stuff it wont start up.. please help!

Try wiping everything and flashing the ROM again

You can still get into recovery right? Pull your battery and try to get into recovery

yes i can and i wipe my dalvik, cache data etc.. and my computer wont bring up my hard drive so i cant? and there are no files on my sd either..

Ok. Go into recovery and choose the option to enable Ms-USB. That will let your computer see your phone. Put a ROM on your sd card and flash it. Or do you have a backup saved on your PC? Backups are important. You should always have one functional backup on your sd card.

I use ra but clockwork has it somewhere. Once we get you up and running, your next step needs to be getting ra on your phone. best recovery bar none.

yeah im trying, ok now it recognizes the removable disk, but i try to copy it to it and it says 'please insert a disk into removable disk'

so i have a rooted evo with revolutionary and at this point in time i cannot go past my start up screen, (boot loop) and when i try to reflash my rom my removable disk says "please insert disk to removable disk" any help please?

try wiping everything except sd card and do that three times and then re-flash the rom.

also try and reboot your computer. have you tried different cables? maybe even a different computer?

I agree with Missouri I believe the problem is sdcard I would copy all contents to the computer then unmount sdcard then repartition/format sdcard. Then copy the tomorrow itself over and reflash

I'm pretty sure he means to get a new SD card. It might be corrupted.

Just so I understand everything, nothing appears on the SD card? And you formatted and it says to insert a disk when you try to hook it up via usb? It shouldn't be asking for anything like that. When you connect via usb in recovery it should display your phone's sd card in a folder just like you would expect and you should be able to copy files back and forth as you see fit.

If you've done all the formatting and still can't get your computer to see your SD card in recovery, then you may just have a bad micro SD card. Do you have another one that you could try? Even something with a few hundred megs would be enough size for you to get a rom on there and we could get you up and running. I have an old SD card from a previous phone that I could use if I absolutely had to.

yes i can see the sd card in a folder, but when i try to open/copy files it says please insert disk into removable disk. this is the only thing that is in my way.
