Root Bootloop, no recovery or access to sd.

Hi I have an evo 4g used revolutionary to root. Running decks ics alpha 5? maybe 6? cant remember. Anywho, The problem started with a screen lock malfunction. I would press the unlock button then slide to unlock and it would just slide but not unlock. Then would i press the lock button the screen would dim at first then go black after 5-10 seconds. I pulled the battery thinking it would restart the phone and it has been stuck in bootloop since. I can get into hboot but cant acess the phones directory when i plug it into my comp via usb. I dont have the proper sd reader on my computer. I happen to have a spare unused sd card if that means anything. Please and thank you for any help or advice.
P.s. I read the guide http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...g-issues-your-rooted-evo-look-here-first.html
and this was the best I found but I am running ics not cm7

If you cannot get into recovery:
Recently there have been problems with people (who happen to be running cm7) getting stuck in a bootloop without the ability of getting into recovery to get out of it. If this happens, there may still be ways of getting your phone working, but it is going to require expertise that is currently above the knowledge of the author of this guide Make a thread and someone will be happy to try and help.

so can you get into recovery? what happens again when you are in the bootloader? do you have a recovery option? if you can get into recovery then all is not lost.

I could get into the hboot or bootloader menu, whatever you get from Power+Vol.Up. Then I could move around in there but recovery would go into the bootloop. Strangest thing happened. I gave up trying last night and habitually plugged my phone into the charger (previously getting no response from the phone). This morning the green light was on and the phone booted up with no issue. Not sure what to think but I did a full wipe(x3) and used my latest restore point and havent had an issue since. Thanks for your response and if anyone who reads this has any kind of explanation as to why plugging it into the charger for the evening fixed the problem, I would love to hear what you think.

I believe if the battery is not charged above 10% it wont boot It could be higher than that but It seems like I read a while back that it wouldn't boot if the battery was below a certain percent. This could have been the case or it was one of those twilight zone episodes and you finally got out of it :D:D:D

would have been no need to wipe as a restore point takes the memory back to the moment in time that it was in when the restore was done so basically it wipes everything anyways but it did'nt hurt anything to do so either.
