Root Bootloop with no recovery.

I think the reason I can't get S-ON is because the phone won't boot into recovery, which is where I'm supposed to flash the unrevoked S-ON tool; so no matter what, S-ON isn't possible. Is there some ultra low-level method to get this done?

Have you tried just reflashing Recovery and seeing if you can access recovery then? Recovery Flashing is done at Hboot so you could flash then press the volume down when it ask to reboot and then select recovery and see if you get into it then

Rooted ROMs don't include HBOOT. It's an entirely different partition on the device. You can probably get your phone back to stock if you do that. I can post a link for you once I have a few more minutes (if no one else does it first).
Sorry for the delay. Here's a link to the Bootloader flashable zip of the 4.24 Gingerbread update:

Dev-Host - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

Just rename the file to PC36IMG.zip, put on root of SD card, and flash via bootloader. Let us know if that changes your NAND status.

The reason I said that is because I had something similar happen to me last summer where my phone wouldn't flash in recovery, and I couldn't get it to restore a backup. So I tried unrooting and going back to stock then somehow my phone bricked on me. So for that reason I don't think trying to do certain things when the phone won't fully boot is a smart idea. I wasn't trying to be a jerk or make anyone look or sound stupid even though going back and reading the post I guess it looks like I did. So for that I have to apologize.
