Root Bricked! Please help!

Did you try taking the battery out for about 30 seconds and then rebooting? That sometimes will get Clockwork back up when it starts.

More importantly I CANNOT get into clockwork recovery mode with the “hold home key and power button”.

make sure you press them both at the same time...don't hold power and then press and hold home...press and hold them both at the SAME time...

also...i really FUBAR'd my phone a few weeks ago and couldn't get past the ApeX boot animation (long story involving having all of my launchers frozen lol)...wouldn't boot into bootstrap...eventually i got it to boot into stock recovery by holding power and home...did a factory reset...still couldn't get past the boot animation...

thought i was really screwed...i left it on the boot animation for literally 15 minutes and it booted...eventually...

I read that you can plug your phone into a wall outlet without the battery...Anyone else read this before?

again, you're sure you hitting both buttons at the same time and continuing to hold them....you should get a screen with a triangle and the little android guy

I always press and hold the home key first (not both at the same time), then press power......once the boot logo time passes and I see the triangle with the exclamation mark in the middle, I let go of the home key and proceed into into Moto Recovery by pressing the search key.

I'll try just leaving it on the animation screen and [crossing fingers] maybe it will eventually boot...I hope. Thanks

Yes, I'm trying to time it as best I can with the button presses. It just goes straight to the "Droid X Does screen" and that's it. I have been to clockwork recovery in the past...

that should work as well...what needs to be avoided is pressing the power button first....

What is the Bootloader 30.04 screen anyway? I'm guessing it has something to do with programming at the factory...I'm thinking that screen isn't going to help me.

It's the boot animation screen. It came from JRummy's boot logo root app. When the phone powers up it is supposed to read: "Droid X Does." But know it's just stuck there. It's the only screen I ever see.

so you don't have a boot logo??....for instance...

my phone starts with the Super User logo (my avatar) then goes into my animation...

stock it would have been the Moto M logo, then the Droid X eye moving around...

It's called "bootloader mode", you should be able to flash the full 2.3.340 sbf from there with RSD Lite 4.8 or above like cabraswell mentioned to you.....make sure you use a battery with full juice or close to it.

I think I already have all the Motorola USB drivers...but I'm going to re-install them anyway...from the provided link
