Root Bugless Beast V0.1 FRF57

I have it 250 min and 600 max

And what is it set on normally? If your expectation is that the phone should be as snappy as it is when off the charger, you will need to move your settings up closer to what they are normally. Remember that under the settings you described (250min/600max), the phone will only be at 250 when it wakes up. It will take a second for it to step up to 600...

I've noticed another bug in this build. I created 3 folders (1 for contacts I use frequently, 1 for root tools, and 1 for all of my gps related tools) After the phone sits in standby for a little while I open the folders and nothing is there. I recreate them and it holds the contents for a little while but the contents always disappear.

I am very pleased with this ROM so far. I held off the first day just because I read of several issues people were having. The installation went off without a flaw and everything has worked flawlessly so far with no fc's or boot loops. I did do a clear on data/cache twice but I have not encountered any of the problems with maps etc.

I am sticking with the kernel and setcpu settings that Pete has in this ROM. It is far more responsive than any other setup that I have had on my phone, it runs cool and my battery performance so far has been very good. I am getting Quadrant scores of around 1200 with it, but more importantly everything is super responsive.

Great Job Pete.

More importantly where can I get the improved version

Edit: NVM it's on his site, just not a new version number

At work and on my break, otherwise i'd go through the thread, but has anyone had problems with flash. When I go to install the apk with astro it says it's installed already. When I try to uninstall, it fails. Doesn't appear to be working in the browser (dolphin hd) which is why I'm asking.

It's a common issue. I fixed it by using Root Explorer. Go to system/app and find the .apk for flash. Click on it and install it from there. If it asks you to replace the application, click OK.

without reading through all of this..what are the known problems if any with this rom? and what kernel is everyone using with it?

You'd better read through it - else you're gonna get 30 responses saying the same things the previous 30 posts did, get flamed for not reading and find folks like me who will tell you:

Nothing is the issue with this ROM....

As the previous poster mentioned, you may want to glance through it. I put on the slightly updated one and I think that fixed the issues that many people were having with maps, as my maps worked flawlessly without any effort. I downloaded the flash apk and it worked perfectly.

I do recommend that you give the kernel that ships with this ROM a whirl. My phone has never been more responsive and I am not sure that I need a ROM that is OC'ed more than the one included (which is at 800).

Using latest ROM version and kernels. Works good now, though P3's 1.25 is unstable whereas Chevy's 1.25 was stable in BB1.1

I ran a bit hot with BB, running NexBeast atm and haven't been over 100F yet.

With BB it was common to be around 110F with a 1.1GhZ, any issues with running hot with this release?

I run around 90-100 constantly with it rarely hitting the 110 mark. With BB 1.1 I ran bekit's 1.0GHz and frequently hit the 130 F degree mark. Froyo seems to run cooler and I'm even running a 1.1GHz kernel on it.

So far, I seem to be running COOLER. With the first FroYo leak, it would usually idle (not standby) around 32

Trying now. Thanks!

Maybe I'm thick, but I'm not seeing CPU temps anywhere in there (system panel lite). Two batt temps, but no CPU. Interesting app regardless. SetCPU ramps the clock up faster than I thought.

Could someone with BB installed test a NexTheme file for me? This is just a theme file, so it needs to be installed over BB. I need to know if your wifi works.

Actually, I need to run, so I'll just post the link. This might break your wifi. Please do a backup first

Are there any scripts built in to hold less than 50mb of RAM free, since some people people speculate this might be interfering with JIT?
