Yeah, I tried this and I can't reconnect. I don't have another wifi network to try and connect to either. But I can't reconnect back to my home once I had it forget. Maybe it can connect, just not establish the initial connection.

Edit: I restored my wifi setting with titanium backup and it connected instantly. So yeah, it has to be something with making the initial connection to a network. And the notification text is black on black.

I can fix the notification color really easily...but I'm really out of ideas with this wifi...

But it's working fine, so long as you don't forget a network, right?

Yeah I can connect fine, I just cant connect to new wifis I think.

I tried turning on wifi tethering and connecting to that. Yeah that didn't work at all... Haha.

Maybe just leave the wifi icon unthemed for now? It isn't going to take much away from the overall theme. Especially for me since I don't use wifi.
 
Phone started getting funky w/my installed ROM, so I decided to flash the updated release of this ROM (I believe from yesterday - the small fixes version) and do not have working WiFi on install complete.

WiFi turns on fine, gets IP fine, but nothing can connect...browser, youtube, etc., all fail. No theme, no nuthin but plain BB... :(
 
I knew this would happen... as soon as I get my phone all set up the way it was before flashing Birdman's Froyo lol. Oh well, I'm switching to BB regardless. It has always seemed very stable and once I get to BB I should be able to flash future updates without having to wipe. (I'm gonna wipe this time just in case zz) Only reason I didn't just wait for Pete before flashing Froyo is because the password lock was a very important update for me.
 
So, what version of flash is everyone running? Initial version or the second one? I just redid my phone with this rom, and I have the 1st version downloaded, but before I install it, just want to see what everyone else is running.
 
how would i go about installing release 2? use root explorer too delete the current flash installation, then install release 2?

edit: oh, does bb 0.1 frf57 even have flash installed by default? i just tried to access a flash website for the first time since flashing the rom and it isnt working. no flash sites are working for me.

Just install release 2 like any other non market apk. And yes you still had to install flash on Pete's BB but it doesn't matter now, just install release 2.
 
The link above set my anti-virus alarms off and blocked it, so proceed with CAUTION!

BTW thanks to all who helped me get my Droid up and running on BBFroyo... everything works great except Flash. I guess I'm in the same boat as others who can't uninstall the old one or install the apk. Anybody figure out a fix I haven't found yet on the forums, fell free to chime in :)

EDIT: Got it! Instead of Astro, I used APK Installer and it loaded like a dream. Now my phone is complete muahahahaha....
 
With Pete's Froyo, will the NexFonts.zip update replace the default fonts with the ones Fab used in NexBeast? I think this or the DefaultFonts.zip can be installed as an update zip without wiping, but would like clarification. Thanks.

Update: ran cw recovery, applied NexFonts.zip, got the font and I'm happy
 
anyone notice that when wifi is on you get no cell phone service bars? When I look in settings I see -85 dbm and when I place a call the bars immediately jump up to 2 bars. I hang up and the bars jump back down to zero.

EDIT: Oh wow, nvm. A bar of service just popped up. It still doesn't seem the bars are accurately displaying the amount of service though.
 
hello, i have a question..i have been reading threads on here and other web sites for about 1 week..ive had my droid about 1 week and before that i had been with sprint for years and flasehed phones with no problem..even the hero but when i flashed the 2.1 rooted stock i had to reactivate the phone aafter wipe and it wouldnt let me..tried *228 and calling and it wouldnt let me so i had to go into best buy where i bought it and he called something and got it reactivated well, my question is when i wipe and go to install this i will have to activate but im afraid ill have the same problem and my phone will be useless again...is there anyway i wont have to reactivate cause i think im ready to flash this rom....sorry to ask such a noob question..

While Im no dev, it sounds like you had some rare issue happen that would happen like once in a million chance where maybe something went wrong in the rom flash. Rest assured, there are hundreds of complete noobs on this forum who have never even read a line of code who have successfully rooted their phones and installed custom roms. I would just go for it man!

never been happier, but will update to the "Epic" update when Pete puts it out.
 
Funny issue: I woke up to my Market updates icon (which I actually really haven't seen in a while, due more to my manually updating often), and when I opened it, I got an error message. To be honest, I forgot what it said, but it wasn't letting anything come up. So, I fixed permissions w/ ROM Manager (that alone makes the app worth it), and low and behold, it works again. Not only that, but then I got an email message, as well as a text message. I guess nothing was going through.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

i dled it and scanned it and my antivirus prog detected no problem here, just a heads up. if your worried give it a scan before u use it guys though.

Ok, my Market error is back. It says:

"Attention: A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen.", w/ options to retry or cancel. Really kinda weird how this shows up all of a sudden.

That's odd, as I went to the Market and dl'd an app just to see if it was a market issue. Downloaded and installed just fine. Maybe it was a hiccup in your area network? :confused:
