Hey guys i just wanted to let you know that i traded in my Triumph for the Evo V today but that i'll still hang around and try my best to continue making Roms and updating them

also i heard from the BestBuy rep that they're getting the iPhone 4S for Virgin Mobile and that its going to be $650...... way to much if you ask me i'll stick to my Evo V im lovin' it :)

and yea $650 Way Way Way to much lol, i actually got a text message from VM this morning telling me about the new Iphone lol made me laugh
 
Damn, iPhone for VM? That's pretty impressive (besides the super high price).
How'd you trade in your Triumph? Was it a craigslist deal or did you go to the store (With money for the price difference ofc).
I'm getting pretty sick of my Triumph, I'm ready to get the Evo V tbh.
 
The funny thing about the iphone is you're still probably making money over a contract plan in the first year even with that huge price tag.

But yeah, anyone willing to shell out that much money for a phone less powerful than the evo just so they can have ios is a sillypants.

Actually it was at bestbuy and since I had the 2 year geek squad protection it was an even swap for the 2 phones I didn't pay anything except for the new 2 year protection and my top up

Oh my good god........... That's pretty sweet! I'm gonna try and buy my Evo V at Best Buy with that protection if I can.

I just told them that my speakers suck when I talk to someone on speaker phone they made a call listened and concluded that my speakers were blown then since they don't carry the Triumph anymore I got to pick out which phone I wanted which obviously would be the Evo V :)

It covers everything except theif, loss, and water damage and if you sell your phone the protection goes with it adding value to your phone

When I originally bought my Triumph 2 years protection cost $40 for the Evo V I payed $80 today

But keep in mind protection cost change depending on the price of the phone

Holy crap 650...another prepaid company is getting it for like 300....dunno if its 4S though...good luck mobster! Enjoy your new toy!

Thank you sir! Your work for the Triumph has been tremendous in helping pave the path. Even making people bite their tongue that Gingerbread would never see our phone. Thanks again for all your time, effort and hard work you have put into this blasted device we call our Triumph. I know the steps you have walked, the countless wipes and reloads you have done. The countless hacks that fail time and time again. Enjoy that Evo, and take a break from all the development craziness. Enjoy ICS it's almost pure form :D:D:D:D Cheers brother!

we, the triumph community will surely miss u n ur roms. u helped this community a lot in developing such a "crappy" phone. minimal triumph will b my favorite triumph rom of all time. my first rom i flashed :). hopefully very soon, ill b with u in the evo community!
 
Funny thing I forgot to mention is that the phone literally is a rebranded Evo 3D the back cover doesn't say Virgin Mobile like the pictures show and it even has Sprint on the front of the phone under the front camera lol

Yeah, I've been lurking on the evo v 4g forums checking out how it's going there too. Rooting, etc, sounds like so much more work than what we're used to here!

However, it sounds like you got a great new phone so good luck on your new adventures.

It's not as hard as people make it seem. ;) But it is more complicated than the Triumph.



Also, there are a lot of us that still try to be active here that no longer have the phone. The Triumph has a good community!
