Camera 360 - Better Picture Quality?

I bought the program today and was impressed enough with some of the shots I got so I'm going to dive into all the settings to figure out what they all mean. I've always loved photography but never got into the technical aspect of it. I was really hoping to get a phone with a better camera, but have decided to buy a dedicated camera in the $400 range (I'm not rich, so this is going to be insanely expensive for me). This means I need to figure out the technicals finally.

Short of the long, I've decided to research the program, the phone, and the options and write up an unofficial mini-manual. I'll do the best I can and share it once it's ready =)

I've toyed with most of the settings, but anxiously await your input.
You're my hero!

I'm actually really enjoying this! It's interesting how complex the tree of options expands depending on the service and how you're trying to access it. I'll be lucky to finish how Album's works by the end of tonight lol. I'll share as soon as it's ready to see if you guys like how I'm doing it, and to see if it's worth my time to continue.

Heads up: Anyone wishing to read it will have to be able to view an ODT file. I'm using a color designated key system to distinguish between supplied information, my information, and where additional information will be required by other users. Also the formatting, while primeval, is somewhat important to the structure.

Whew. This is going to take a while. Let me know if you think I should do anything differently. Feel free to critique to your heart's content. If I'm going to go forward with this I want to make sure it's usable and helpful!

On my side of the screen that keeps reverting to an ftp protocol and sometimes asks for a password, let me know if you run into a problem with that.

I attempted to open it. It brought up winrar. Is this a zipped file? I'll have to figure out what is, and how have the ability to use an odt file.

File created with Open Office, if I'm not mistaken. You could probably download a converter for MS Office, or download a viewer more than likely.

You guys surprise me! You will need OpenOffice. It's an open format office suite.

I don't need OpenOffice, I have Microsoft Office, so I would rather just download a viewer. I can't imagine I would be trying to read a .odt file very often.

I have MS Office, as well.

Clicking your link STILL takes me to winrar, and opens the zipped files.

I click the "content" file, and it opens in HTML code...

blah, fine I'll upload it in doc as well. I just figured you guys would have OpenOffice.

Nervous now because no ones been able to view the file and all this build up for very little manual so far. You won't learn anything from what I've done so far that you didn't already know, but I wanted to start at the beginning and document every ability.

I would really be interested with the guide but it is boiling down to too much work. I have MS Office at work as well. I dl'd Zutmin's suggested viewer and still doesn't work. And they hate it when we dl stuff on the work computers. OpenOffice? Really??? geez

edit: oops now see your post. thanks jofaba. much better.

OpenOffice is promoted by Google and is a free alternative to Microsoft Office. Not only does it open all document types, it is also updated to open NEW document types. So if a new version of Microsoft Office comes out next year, and someone makes a document in that format, you can open it without having to pay for an upgrade. I honestly figured that anyone in this sort of forum setting would have embraced the program a long time ago. I wasn't trying to be difficult.

not trying to be difficult either and I can see why you might have thought that but not everyone, or maybe it is just me, don't come from a technical background in the least....we just like our phones :o

Okayyyyyyyyyyy.... Regarding the "Open Office", at somepoint I was using it. Probably before I found a copy of Office 07 to install. Its a good program. VERY similar to "Office".

Now, in regards to what has been done so far? I like it, but I wonder if its "simple" enough for the average user? I can follow a tech manual though. But I do like it.

Well keep in mind this is in no way a finished copy. That's a first version rough draft. I agree it's very overwhelming. How about tonight instead of moving on to the next sections I polish the first section up to make it more digestible, and then see if anyone thinks I should continue?

I think that perhaps instead of breaking down all the menu options I should take screenshots of the menus and explain their functions and abilities. Last night's work was all research of the menu system for Albums.

My friend, you have FAR too much time on your hands!!!!! *LOL*
But yes, screen shots would make it visually more understandable.

I think we need to take away everyone's Android phones for awhile... since no one seems to have mentioned Google Docs to view the file online. :)

I love this camera, I used it 100% for all my photo shots since I installed the free version. Ever since the update i've been on the wall about jumping to paid version.

Figured... the dev did hard work, $4 is less than I spend on 1 beer at the bar/one meal at mccraps/1steak/my toilet paper/4bottles of water/1/4 of a shirt/1 large coffee. Since all those mentioned items typically only are good for one shot, this camera will be used and abused and can transfer to whatever other android phone im sticking with... so $4 is nothing to complain about (even when I was in college I spent more on smot/alochol/junkfood in a day)

Got the pro version, im happy and feel good to support a good app.

oh, and I have office 07 (because of my job) and open office (because its a great free tool), and I use google docs (because its google/free/open)... long live open source.

I really want to like this app, but the images taken seem over processed. Everything else about this app is great. Does anyone know the difference in the two choices for save location (default vs 360)?

Can only rooted phones take screenshots? Anyone want to help me out by taking some screenshots for me?

Won't be working on this anytime over this holiday weekend. I will be playing with the phone though, and will be taking notes as to what settings provide what kind of shots and in what conditions. Obviously that part is going to be more informative and helpful to most here, compared to how the "Albums" section works lol. Sometime's it's not always best to start on page 1...

In the meantime, can anyone help me out on the screenshot front? Seems the only apps I can find are for rooted phones. Is there any other way? I can't root my phone just yet.
