Stock message app?? And sprint hotspot app?? Or are they link to handcent and wifi and wireless tether??

I don't think so, but you can just use handsent (and disable the stock messager notifications), and as far as sprint hotspot, you could just use wifi tether instead. I'm 99% sure the hotspots dont run off of each other because I don't think you can tether 4g with wifi tether.

You can "Unistall" them but it would be better just to freeze the apps. Also there is an:
sms/mms/apn dialer storage you do not want to mess with this. it could cause consistently FC issues causing you to re flash your rom. (complete wipe and reflash)

like argedion says you can always use titanium backup and just freeze the app. and if you get any force closures or your rom starts to lag or freeze then you can just unfreeze those apps. after you know that your rom is stable enough you can then delete them if you want. and after sometime if you decide that you want them back you can just wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash the rom. your data and setup will not get wiped and the apps you deleted will be back.

also the easier way is to make a nandroid backup first before you delete those apps and then just nandroid restore back if you want to.

not sure why you want to delete them. but i hope that helps.

if you have titanium backup you can just go into the backup and restore tab and find your app and then select it and select freeze. and you can do the same thing to unistall or unfreeze the app.

Ive thought third party sms apps were "overlays" of the stock app. I didnt know you could actuall remove the stock and still get a good sms function. I will have to do this (or freeze it).. Thanks!

Well found out better leave stock app alone. My girlfriend froze it and pictures quit coming thru. But when I started troubleshooting the problem sheet forgot to tell me that. Came down to froze message app.

I uninstalled the stock messaging app with no problems at all
