Root cannot enter recovery

DrGreene

Newbie
I am unable to enter recovery. I turn my phone off and hold volume up and power and my phone vbrates a couple times. After that happens it will nto even turn on normally until I pull the battery.

I'm rooted with mikG and Amon-ra.

Please help.

ok. If you can get to the market, dl an app called QuickBoot

it will give you an option to get to recovery without all that button pushing.

Make sure you flashed your recovery if you haven't flash it from from manager then from that app Their is an option to boot into recovery

download clockwork recovery.

Skip this answer. Amon RA is much better than the buggy clockwork. We do not recommend Clockwork.

NEVER EVER USE ROM MANAGER. Doing things from recovery is better. Also ROM MANAGER is very buggy and causes more issues than its worth. We've had to fix way to many issues from ROM MANAGER.

Pull the battery out, put it back in, and then try power+volume down.

(this will prevent any issues with fastboot)

Notice RX points to the Volume DOWN and not the Volume UP. This is the Correct way to get into recovery.

+ 1 for Quick Reboot. Awesome app.
