Root cant connect via wifi

Again, Welcome to AF!! :)

I have the LG CONNECT from metro pcs. I'm trying to connect it to my computer using wifi tether. It connects but it doesn't open any page :(

it's rooted and i have the app. I tried many things reading from the forums but nothing worked. When i connect my phone, for the first 4 seconds, it gives internet to my computer but then it cuts it out no idea why.

Metro blocks tethering so you will need a user agent spoofer to mimic eithe android or linux browser.
Firefox and chrome have addons that does this for free. Just google ua switcher for whatever browser you're using.

If you are rooted you can use wifi tether from the playstore. In settings set your profile to the lg optimus. If you're non rooted you can tether via usb with pdanet.

The WIFI tether doesn't work

Now it's working. I did nothing.
The problem is that when i connect it to my iPod. It doesn't open the pages or anything. And sometimes it works, like now.
I didn't change anything.
Also as it happened this afternoon, when i connect it for the first 4 seconds it works, but then it like cuts the internet from passing to the iPod, (but still the 4g is on and the wifi still is on)

It does work, first off you have to download the latest version of the WIFI Tether, secondly under profiles you MUST set it the device profile to LG OPTIMUS S, and thirdly you MUST turn on ACCESS CONTROL, whether you use encryption or not, these are the steps you must do to get it working.

Good luck :D

Doesn't work. It connects but the speed doesn't go up more than 0.3 kb
the 4G its on

Don't know what to tell you then, its worked for me, granted the speed may be a little slower, but it still works.

install pda net on the phone and on your computer then you will see a small icon on your computer click on it then go to settings then you will see hide tethered usage then click on tether 1 then your good to go
