Root Can't unroot my evo 4g. Please help!

the flash image isn't extracted and I have an 8GB sd card in my phone

ok then there is your issue. you need to extract both files and move them to the sd card.

from the guide:

4.we need to extract and then move the flash_image and the mtd-eng files on to the sd card. make sure that you do not put the extracted files in any folders. they need to be on the root of the card (very top level)

wow I can't believe i missed that -___- sorry for all the trouble bud but I finally have it unrooted and it seems like the problem I had was fixed! I was going to take my phone into sprint because of my 4g connectivity turning on and off all the time and frequently but after I just did this unroot it was fine??? I turned the 4g on and it was working like a charm didnt turn off or anything. im not sure what was wrong when i had it rooted

no worries. and do not ever be sorry for asking questions here in AF. this is exactly why this forum(s) is around for anyways. just glad you were able to get unrooted and your phone sort of fixed. not really sure what the issue was.
