Root Captivate "Serendipity" equivalent?

So my friend who has a Captivate decided to root his phone today and flashed a 2.2-based ROM that seems pretty complete and even has a nice gingerbread theme. I see nothing even remotely comparable to this on the Fascinate landscape. Is the Fascinate the red-headed stepchild of the GS family?

the captivate has had a leak of froyo. The fascinate has yet to have any leaked version of froyo come out. That is the reason there are limited froyo roms.

Currently there are 2 froyo roms but both are in the early stages and still have a number of bugs

the captivate has been the android flagship for att for awhile and they ve had froyo leaks....2 things the fascinate has never enjoyed on verizon
