I'm in the same boat, but I put my keys in my left pocket since I need them less often, and I trust my right hand to pull my phone out and handle it more than I trust my left.

Most of the time I will put my phone in my left pocket (even though I'm right handed). Keys and such go in right pocket. I hold the phone with my left hand and hold it up to my left ear while talking. If I happened to be wearing a shirt with a pocket, then it goes in there.
The phone is so new, not much out for cases / holsters. I prefer holsters over cases anyway, easier access. I've really enjoyed the Seidio Innocase holster's that I've had for the Pre, and for my Blackberry. The face or screen in design is the best.

I agree, but opposite because I'm left handed. Keys and coins go in my left front, phone in the right. When wearing cargo pants or shorts, I put the phone in the side.

Well I answered no case but I do have the gel case that the Sprint rep hooked me up with but no screen protector. The phone always goes in my right breast pocket unless I am wearing a t-shirt then I use one of the many cases I have laying about from previous phones but I am rarely seen without a pearl snap shirt unless I am working around the house in which case I am not carrying my phone with me rather leaving it on the bar so I can hear it and it doesn't get painted, lawnmowered, lathed, or any other thing that could kill it.
sorry to hear that negrito hope your hero survived the fall. After various experiences with other phones I just shell out the extra cash for a silicon case and screen protector lol, rock it in the back pocket skinny jeans xD
Thanks, i thought it was in my pocket, but it was on my lap. I watched it in that horrible slow motion i want to grab it, but my ninja reflexes arent what they used to be, kinda way.... It Survived, but since it landed in the street, in an effed up parking lot i have a bunch of scratches and nicks in it. I want a silicone case, but havent seen any yet. I still have the sprint plastic on the screen, as i havent found a suitable screen protector yet either. i got my hero at BB and they said all the accessories are delayed by two weeks! Booo on them!!!

I don't use a case at all. I had the gel skin that I got from the Sprint store, but I stopped using it a few days ago because I feel that it makes the phone too bulky, and it was a little too grippy, causing the phone to get stuck in my jeans pants pocket a lot, lol. I keep the phone, along with my car keys, in my left front pocket, and my wallet in my right front pocket.

I was thinking about getting a hard case, but now I am not so sure. For all the years I've had phones I've wanted them to be as soft and smooth as my Hero. If I still go with a case it will more than likely be this: Sprint HTC Hero Phone Protector Case with Optional Belt Clip - Clear
and of course some sort of ZAGG or screen protector

I'm mostly at work... but i don't find the need for a case i don't know i love the way the case feels right now and well if it does drop i got it from best buy might as well use those geek squad protections i got. I work at best buy so usually

i have noticed that sometimes my phone comes on and goes to some crazy scene or app when i get my glasses or pen out of my pocket so i might put a lock on the phone to see if that helps.

Id say use the default lock app, and the there is a widget you can dl from the Market the is a lock screen switch. its worked awesome for me so far. I turn the lock on when i have the phone in my pocket, or am out and about. then when im home i turn the lock off so i can just double tap menu to get to my homescreen.
btw... does your best buy have accessories? the one i bought mine from said they are all delayed by two weeks! I already dropped this thing once, i NEED some form of protection! lol.

Thanks man. I need a car charger, this will help a lot. What I love about this case is the little lip that makes the screen "embedded" if that is the right word. Meaning, if you were to drop it, there is no way the screen can get hit, unless of course you drop it on something pointy.
Yup! Like I mentioned b4...I'm impressed with the quality of this case...especially for the price that it cost

I put mine in my left back pocket (take it out and fiddle around when I sit down) I feel like putting it in my front pocket makes a huge bulge in the front.
I had the Pre and used that case for about the 25 days I had it.
Personally I'm not a case/rubber thing that you see on all the iPhones or Blackberries.
I think the make the phone look super bigger than it should be and the slimmer the better.

I have this same case and am also very pleased with it. It's not quite as rubberized or tacky as I'd like it, but it's still very nice overall.

can someone help me find right case i want? i just ordered the sprint hero so while i'm waiting for the phone to arrive i wanted to find the pouch for my new phone. (the phone doesn't come with any case don't they) this is my case for my sidekick 3 phone TMOBILE LEATHER CASE POUCH SIDEKICK 3 ID LX SLIDE PHONE - eBay (item 390078039402 end time Nov-02-09 09:14:55 PST) i liked the way the case fits in front pocket. I don't like how new cases have attachable belt clip, makes them too bulky. i like them flat. so far i can't find the case i want. so anyone know of one like my old case?
