Accessories Cases

No offense intended, but im not putting anything on my Inspire that costs 6 bucks, especially if it is intended to protect a $400 phone.

Why not? More expensive doesn't always mean better. :)

I don't want a clunky case. I may not even use the cover I ordered, we'll see. I keep my phone in my pocket and I hate bulky cases.

Good points. I didn't use a case on my blackbery, but I just dont know if I could bear the thought of a potential drop with the inspire. Plus having a bit more bulk might make it a little more comfortable to grip when using it for extended times. I don't mind the bulk, makes me fee like a man =)

Mine goes in the front pocket. Thin is in!

Anyone seen what ATT and Best Buy have? I need to get one pretty quick - I leave for vacation on Friday and I don't think one would be delivered in time....

See, all types for different opinions! The rubbery cases at least provide scratch protection and a small amount of drop protection. Over two years I've dropped my iPhone 3G at least a dozen times with just a cheap silicone cover on it, and I never had a problem.

The one where I bought mine had a speck case and a body glove case, each for $30. I didn't look to closely as I had already ordered one.

I keep mine in my front pocket too.

I ordered this one:

seidioonline.com

Comes with a belt clip that fits the phone while in the CASE! felt lining, excellent craftsmanship, etc. PLUS, its supposedly pretty thin.

you can see a review of it here if anyone is interested.

Yeah, i got the screen protectors too.

It's thin but having those cases on all previous phones they add weight. This phone is weighted perfectly don't wanna mess that up

I had a silicone shell on my BB for years, and while it did its job I won't buy another. Lint wasn't a problem, but the silicone was always very "grippy", making it a pain to simply remove from a pocket - the silicone seems to just "stick" to the cloth way too well. In fact, the few times I nearly dropped it was when trying to pry it from a pocket and having it suddenly release, wanting to fly across the room.

Not sure what case I'll get, but it won't be silicone.

I got the speck case from att. Its just temporary untill oterbox comes out with one, but its a nice case. Tonight im gonna order the invisi shield from zag, they r 14.99..

That's the problem I've had in the past with silicone cases/shells. I carry my phone in my front pocket and the silicone ones tend to make the phone harder to get out of my pocket than it should be.

I used to use the iFrogz case on my 3GS. I liked it because it still had a bit of grip, but the outer shell was still pretty "slick" and it wasn't as hard to get out of my pocket. On that one though, I didn't like the raised area where it interlocked on the back (though that might be a bit less of an issue since the camera already means that the back isn't completely flat in the first place).

I don't really like cases, but I also don't really like when my phone gets nicks and scratches on it without one. So, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do and which case would fit my picky requirements.

I was considering these two:

Anyone had any experience with either of these particular models (most likely for other phones)?

I bought this one from Amazon, for $25 if its horrible it will at least tide me over until more come out for the phone. Based on reviews for the same model on other phones it seems very well received, great reviews for the same case on other Droid models. Just a note for anyone thinking to order, while Amazon says "pre-order", my case just went in to "shipping soon status". So maybe ill have both my 32GB Micro SD card and my case by the weekend!
