Probably Kernel related, have you posted in the Devs thread to see what they say ??

I can host a PG86IMG.zip for 1.5 or 1.58. Don't have a chance to make a 1.4 right now. Let me know which one you prefer.

Thanks for the reply so if I downgrade the HBOOT to 1.5 I should be good?

@Brian706 If you could shoot me the 1.5 version I would appreciate it.

Yes correct, as they mentioned, you will be good to go ;)

Here you go! Hboot 1.5 CDMA Phones only!!

Please make a backup before using this just in case. It should work but I just haven't tried it yet. I pulled it from another file I made which works but better safe than sorry.

Rename to PG86IMG.zip and put on your sd card root. Reboot into bootloader. Hit volume up to say yes to the update. When finished and your phone boots up immediately rename or delete the file.

So he doesn't need the older firmware or base? Just the hboot?

Nope, he'll be fine on the newer firmware bits. For some unknown reason that 1.58 hboot just really fudges up AOSP ROM boot. Personally, I don't see much use for being on 1.58 unless you're planning to run Viper3D.
