Root [CDMA] Compatible ROMS With Different Hboots

DragonSlayer95

Resident Air Bender
List of all ROMS for compatible Hboots

Note:
For some Hboot 1.5 s-on users, s off may be required for some ICS ROMS to boot up without a bootloop. It's just a hit and miss if it boots up for you or not. I'll link to Brian's Radio's, Hboot & Firmware download's at the bottom of the post.

For all Hboots:

CyanogenMod 10.1 - WILD FOR THE NIGHT S-OFF Required!!

P.A.C.MAN

For Hboot 1.58:

Cool ICS

Note:
Keep in mind, if you experience any bootloops, you may need to flash the required Hboot/firmware corresponding with that ROM. (s-off required) You can find the downloads for Hboot/firmware here: Radios, Hboot & Firmware

I'm by far from being done with this list, so please keep checking back to see what's added.

I'll try to keep this list as updated as possible with ROM updates and new ROMS.

If anyone see's a ROM not in the list and you would like to see it here, feel free to PM me or comment below.

Another Note:
For HBOOT 1.5 S-on users: some of these roms require you to seperately flash the boot.img file. If you flash and don't do this and it boot loops on you, then you will need to flash the boot.img.

awsome! thanks for doing this,i know how much work it is to keep a list like this updated.we much appreicate it. :smokingsomb:

s-on devices, besides making sure they are on compatible firmware, may require seperate flashing of the boot.img(kernel) in order to boot. :)

Granted i'm a 1.5 s-on user and haven't had to do this before, but these occasions is why any flasher should definately read the ENTIRE op before downloading and flashing, and how to flash the boot.img as well.

Hey Dragon, first of all, MANY, MANY Thanks for this work! This will save a LOT of questions, headaches and boot loops. :D

Second - Have YOU flashed the latest Viper3D ROM? The reason I ask is that you have it listed with the "all H-Boots" but Viper himself says in post 14656 of the ROM thread over @ XDA: "I have a 1.50 hboot fix gimme a bit and ill post."

Life has gotten in the way of me going ahead and going S-OFF and flashing 1.58, so if YOU have gotten it to work on 1.5, then chances are it will work for me (I've enjoyed easy 1.5 S-ON life as well)!

Thanks again!:D

This is a really helpful compendium. I have kind of been out of the loop for several months on the Sprint HTC EVO 3D for personal reason and I think I have some radio and firmware flashing to accomplish to get myself up to speed.

This list will help me figure out what ROM I can use on my HBOOT 1.40. Although, it seems flashing to alternate HBOOTs is not an issue these days and S-OFF will stick. Can anyone recommend a recovery? I was using ClockworkMod Recovery for the longest time, but I am open to alternates. I see people like 4EXT these days. Any thoughts on recoveries?

Not that I've tried tons of recoveries but I use 4ext and the concensus Seems to be that it is the way to go.

Just as Brian said, 4ext is my opinion the best recovery for our evo 3d opposed to twrp and cwm. 4ext hasn't let me down any.
