Root [CDMA] How I achieved MMS on CM nightly 20140615

Well that is unfortunate, because I find the 9016 text messages rather annoying lol

I don't know if this would work for CM, but I started using hangouts as my default sms on Paranoid Android, and the 9016 texts went away.

How do you get notified of new voicemail without the 9016 text messages?

I still get the missed call notification (from number or contact name) in the status bar, which is my cue to check my voicemail.

if they don't leave a message, that's not a big deal to me. I only had to dial "1". And I could not stand those 9016 messages.

Here is the flashable that makes the changes to build.prop and apns-conf.xml. It edits the files rather than swapping them out so as long as the Boost line is the same it should work for all the variants.

falcon_Boost_Service.zip

edit: If the Boost line is not the same, it won't do anything so there is no worry about it breaking something
did you edit the apns-config.xml in your flashable or is it the same?

I tried a bunch of diff APN settings but couldn't get MMS to work on c-rom for the life of me.. any ideas?

is great that tattooed for data for it but no MMS is a no go for me since I send a lot of pics to family.. 😞

Yes, the flashable edits apns-conf.xml and build.prop. However, I made it based on cm11 and if the Boost apn in c-rom is different than the one in cm11 it won't work as I mentioned. If someone pastebins the apns-conf.xml for all the builds I will make sure the flashable works for all the builds. I am not going to download all the roms to get them.

While this may be common knowledge, I thought it might be worth mentioning. I just used the cm updater to update to the cm11 6-27 nightly and needed to flash the Boost Services again after the update. Everything works again after flashing :)

So it just adds the strip and not entire build. Prop? If this makes my 3G and MMS at once works then I'll be happy

I am not sure if there is another way to say it lol. The flashable edits the files that are there. It does not replace the files. The only thing that will change about the build.prop that you have is that the needed lines will be added. I can't guarantee it will give 3g or mms for anything other than cm11 at the moment since I don't have the apns-conf.xml for any of the other builds. If you pastebin the one you are using I will check it and fix if necessary.

Paste bin and what the APN file?

[XML] apns-conf.xml(Liguidsmooth-Offical 4.4.3) - Pastebin.com
Liguidsmooth 4.4.3 Android OS CM BASED
i be so happy if anyone gets 3G data to work

Is that all of it? It does not even have a Boost apn to edit lol. Is that an unmodified version of the one that came in the ROM?

edit: I just downloaded the rom, and the boost apn is there and exactly the same as the one in cm11. That means the flashable will edit the file correctly on a fresh install. If the one you posted is truly the one you have right now, I suggest re-flashing the rom and then flashing the boost service fix.

edit2: Just flashed Liquid Smooth and the Boost service fix. The flashable edited the files correctly, but still no service.

Could iunzip the ROM & pull the apns-conf.xml file from the zip? Still learning.. I'll check to see what I can dig up don't want to have to flash another ROM..

Will update with the file if I'm able to pull it.

EDIT 1: I can confirm that this fix works on CrDroid as well since it is cm11 based. (Didn't try the flashable fix but same edits applied)

EDIT 2: Here is a zip of both the apns-conf & build prop pulled from c-rom. (Pastbin was down)

Yes you can pull the apns-conf.xml from the zip. The flashable will work if the original boost line that you edit is EXACTLY the same as the one found in cm11.

edit: it is likely the same. PA and Liquid Smooth are the same.
