Not sure what to tell you. I followed this guide to unlock the bootloader and install cwm. I also used the cwm in that guide (CWM-swipe-6.0.4.7-falcon.img)

I am running 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04. I used sudo before the fastboot commands, but that is the only change. I may have added a udev rule beforehand, but honestly I don't remember.

Not sure I understand the question, but if you are asking how to flash cwm, do this
Code: 
cd /path-to-cwm
adb reboot bootloader
sudo fastboot flash recovery CWM-swipe-6.0.4.7-falcon.img
 
On the phone is says mismatched partition size (recovery).

Never mind haha it worked just fine. I'm downloading cm11 and gapps now!

Now that you mention it, mine said that too. It worked fine though. Check to be sure. On the device in bootloader mode, press vol down till you get to recovery, then press vol up once to select.
 
Yeah and in about an hour I should have cm11 what's the best one tho? There's no milestones so snapshot? Nightly? And does the unlock boost loader screen always pop up?

Not sure, I use stock because mms does not work on any of the cm variants. Stock is great if you add Xposed Framework and GravityBox.

I am not certain on that one. You can always try it. There are other less convenient ways to get you updated though. Really the only issue is the partitions because flashing the rom in this OP will update your system files.

well im guessing you have (like in the sequent) made a partition updater?

When it's finished downloading, it would help me help you if you grab the zip from your /cache before rebooting. I am not sure if you can since you are probably not rooted yet, but it would be worth the try in case the ota fails. With it, I can make you an update zip that will flash in cwm without issue.

You can do that and then download the ota again, but hopefully it will update you even with cwm on the device. Then all this hypothetical stuff will be moot.

There are 2 updates from 4.3 fyi

do you know how big the 2nd one is aprox.? becuase its killing me for this 180mb one! still only at like 130mb
