Root [CDMA] [ROM] - Evo 3D CDMA - PAC [OFFICIAL]

This ROM is liable to break me from my sense security blanket... Blue tooth working and all these other goodies... If they just had a nicotine-like patch for HTC sense.... :-)

This is why we have nandroid backups. Or boot manager. Dual boot a sense rom as your secondary, then you're just a reboot away if you need a sense fix ;)

You know, that idea never crossed my mind (my wife would have tons to say on that subject). I'm going to have to check that out. You're just making sure your prediction of my becoming a flashaholic comes true, huh? ;-)

It's just a matter of time until we need to check you into FA (flashers anonymous) :p

OK, I just flashed yesterday, here is what I have in my phone:
- signal reception seems not too good, when I used d3rp ROM, it was better. I'm gonna play around for a few days and see what happens.
- WiFi tether force close when I start tethering. Maybe I'll try the fix as mentioned in the above post.
- Camera works fine, I tried taking video for a few second, and it worked!
- So far no random reboot here.

Overall it is a great ROM, maybe the best JB I've tried. Thanks to CMB for his great work.!!

This is a magnificent Rom!! The only issue I have is that my signal reception isn't as good on this Rom as on all the sense based Roms. Did you find out what the problem is or if anyone else is reading this, do you have any answers?

Are you talking about radio signal or WiFi signal ??

The Radio. I use to get 3G every where, almost all bars but now it drops down to 1x sometimes in certain places and even when I use the browser or download something.

OP updated with test release

I posted a test release for CMB, as he was in a rush on his way home, so I updated the Rom for you all to tell, if you have issues report and post a logcat for him.

That is a radio issue not a Rom issue

I don't know how to do the "logcat" thing....point me in the right direction please for that. As for the Radio issue, does that have to do with the Kernel then? Is there a fix or upgrade?

I added a video review for you on Logcat

No, you wipe all except SD Card.
pardon the p.i.t.a...

but isn't sd-ext a separate parition from the "main" sd card parition? to be sure I don't want to wipe the "main" partition. but i though sd-ext was a partition used for/by apps n stuff. although i don't know if this rom uses it.

when I using the file manager from the "top level" the directories are:
'storage' -> which contains 'sdcard0' and 'sdcard1'
'sdcard0' is definitely the "main" sd card space that has all my stuff
'sdcard1' is, actually i see now, empty. so this conversation may be moot. plus i don't really know if 'sdcard1' is what the recovery is referring to as sd-ext. so perhaps double moot. :) or i'm way off in my understanding here, also possible. :)

Just do a full wipe as mentioned, no SD card. If you wipe what it on the SD card then you loose everything on it. SD ext, simply means that it will restore what you have as apps on the SD if you choose to have some of your apps there. Do not wipe the SD card.

Bottom line... if you aren't using apps2sd or if you haven't gone into recovery and partitioned your SD card to have an ext partition, then there is no need to wipe ext as it doesn't exist... the only reason to have an ext partition on your SD card is for app2sd..

C&P
Partitoning your card will result in reformatting your card. The only reason you would need to partition your sd card is to use a2sd.

Wiping the ext does not reformat your card. Wiping the extension would only wipe the partitioned portion of the card (where a2sd is stored).

i've downloaded and am ready to try it. but am hoping for clarification regarding my 7:06am comment first. :)

Believe Koush mentioned this awhile back. a bug in Jelly bean.
When making backups and flashing it Creates more and more "sdcard" images.
Have a few on mine....no balls to delete them though!
