Man, once MMS is functional I will be flashing this for sure. No pressure JMZ hahah! Thanks for all the hard work, this has got to be a record for the fastest (mostly) functional build of CM ever

So when/if we get the source code, would it be easier to implement MMS and 3D camera to AOSP based ROMs?

no. "source code" that will ever be released is kernel. And the kernel source doesn't really matter any at all. Other than getting a kernel working on the newest hboot. Other than that there is 0 benefit to source code being released

Has anybody installed the visual voicemail that worked correctly? I saw someone mentioned the oddball text message indicator after a voicemail is left, which is what is happening on my phone after I installed the vvm-virgin.apk that I had on my sdcard from a previous rom issue a month ago.

Haven't tried the flashable zip from that link jmz posted (downloading it now actually), but figured I'd bring the topic back up if anybody was still seeing this issue.

Great rom though! Menus and app transitions seem so much faster and smoother than on any of the sense roms I've used.

I restored the visual voicemail app that I backed up from the midnight ROM and it works perfectly on this ROM. I Still receive the text messages when I get a new voicemail though but I don't really mind since the voice mail app is working correctly

Flashed the zip from the epic 4g link and the voicemail does work, but still get the 9016 text messages. Not a big deal since it work, but if anybody does get it set up sans text alerts don't hesitate to let us know!

I noticed that the cm10 build from jmz's link shows A build the date of August 25. That means he might have had up to four days of extra development to get stuff working. pretty exciting

Nah. I have absolutely no idea why that said the 25th. I was built on the 28th. But audio was broken on that build and I'm trying to fix audio before releasing it.

Before I give up on this CM9 rom I'm gonna try one more time. The random reboots are killing. And it doesn't help that I'm like the only one....

Try out Google Voice, I'm giving it a shot right now, and I believe MMS is fully functional. On top of that you'll get unlimited minutes with your plan (since you obviously have unlimited internet) and there are no termination fees either. I recommend it.

Toss out CPU tuner or No Frills CPU, that's what used to screw me over. Throw it out and use the built in CPU modifier. Otherwise you're going to have problems, because the two programs will conflict with each other.

Unless something has changed recently, Google Voice does not support MMS. I think the only exception is that you can now receive MMS from sprint customers, but it will show up in your email, not your GV inbox.

For those using visual vmail and getting 9016 text messages you can use Handcent SMS and block the 9016. It cut off the texts no problem, and everything else worked as it should with the voicemail.

I had been doing that but it was not sticking and I needed something that would change the whatever its called VR to SIO..... I forgot the names..... But anyway I redownloaded thevrom wiped and formatted then installed the rom with out gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip so that as soon as the phone booted I could change the CPU speed to 1242MHz and I clicked set at boot. Then I rebooted and installed gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip. I did not install anything nor do anything for a hour. I clicked on the text message icon and hit home and my phone rebooted. As I am typing this I checked the CPU Max speed and its back at 1512.

Your not alone.. I'm trying to figure out what's the culprit.. random reboots are

Named cm10.zip

Try that out for me guys. I built it from my phone and have no idea if it will even boot. So be prepared to restore from backup. If it does work let me know if sound works. Don't care about everything else right now

Yeah. I just flashed that build and audio is still broke. It's fairly unstable also

Can't seem to get wifi to turn on either. We all no jmz that its a work in progress.. keep up your hard work. we all appreciate it dearly..
