So I have a question regarding Quadrant scoring. If this Rom is getting lower then another ROM, Midnight for example, does that mean it will run 3D games slower? Or does quadrants scoring not really matter to the ability for CM9 to run programs fluidly (I.E. games)

Personally, quadrant scores mean absolutely nothing. I can make quandrant score go completely higher than anything on the market in about 4 mins. Easily manipulated so it invalidates any type of test.

Just my opinion though

Very interesting... I trust your opinion. Well thank you for getting this CM9 build to a daily driver level. Gunna use it for a week and see how it compares to the other Rom I was using. Many people have praised CM so I wanted to see what all the hooplas about. :smokingsomb:

Thanks jmz!

I just wanted to cast my vote for CM10 too! I'd rather see it first before mms.

Just flashed latest build. Can anyone confirm that their Google Play doesn't work? I'm going to reflash just to make sure it isn't me.
Also, after this flash, I had several applications disappear... anyone confirm?

Edit: I restored from backup, and reflashed. It works now! Sorry!

Project Butter is a big improvement. They sync CPU, GPU and display so there's no lag. In ICS, if they were out of sync at any point, the current frame would have to pause for one more frame so it could catch up, causing that dreaded lag.

@ jmz, Mob, Leslie & I'm sure others

Thanks for all the effort you guys are putting into this phone. CM9 is just a pleasure to see be developed, and all the radio downgrade/hboot modifications have made texting & radio fluctuation issues almost non-existent.

Coming from the little phone that could (optimus V), I am very excited to see how far you guys are going to take this phone's hardware! Keep on keepin on :)

Gonna try switching from stock to this. Just got the phone a few days ago.
Besides being rooted, is there any other requirements for this?

So what are the improvements or new features of Jellybean ICS?

New camera app (like Windows phone one)
60 FPS animations
Google Now
Offline Voice Search( for on-device results) and Typing
Resizable Widgets
Google Now
Chrome as default browser

maybe some other features too...

This rom uses Mac kernel, so you'll also need to be S-off. I BELIEVE that you can also just use 4-ext, and then you don't need to be S-off because it flashes kernels differently, but I can't completely verify that. Can someone else with experience please jump in here?

You definitely need to be S-off, because you will need to downgrade hboot to be able to boot this.

Anyone else getting random reboots? since i flash the new version yesterday it rebooted 2x trying to open an app, 1x random reboot, so i lowered the speed, (i was running default speed) so i went lower to see if that help, all was good after that, but i tried to place a call this morning and the phone went frozen, i had to pull the battery.

Is working fine now, but i want to know if someone else is experiencing the same, or if it's just my phone acting up.

Im s-off, hboot 1.04, used 4ext to flash, ics gapps, mac kernel, and since i came from another rom i did a format all.

I've gotten a few freezes that have required a battery pull. I lowered my CPU down to stock and I'll see if that fixes the issue.

I've done a dirty flash of every new version of this ROM, so that could have something to do with it.

I had a few reboots, too. I'm on the last build, but I flashed the new MAC Kernel. V(R) is the default I/O Scheduler. From what I've read, it's the most problematic scheduler. I switched scheduler to SIO (reported to be most stable) and I haven't had a reboot since.

This is purely anecdotal & I have no idea if its the real reason.
