cheaper iphone

So im looking to grab a verizon iphone4 for my girlfriend as a backup phone when she gets bored of her droid and was wondering (i know nothing of apple products) if theres sites online where you can purchase them cheaper. (like wirefly etc..)

If she's going to get bored of a Droid, she's likely to get bored of an iPhone even quicker.

Maybe save some money, get her a cheap 'burner' phone and a Nintendo DS or a sudoku book or some other diversion?
