they are even slow with the drinks!!! extremely slow.

forget that noise!!

Ive been to mexico several times..different places.....never had that problem..I would have gotten up and left.;)
many cultures are pretty laid back about the concept of "time"...for example Jamaican time is more like I'll get to it when I get to it...no worries!:) and Tahiti doesn't even care! There is no "30 minute tour " per say...We had a guy stop by his house..introduce us to his family..ride around a bit...stop to look at the beach...take us to a cool bar....and all we wanted was a ride to this restaurant for lunch!:D

and that, my friend , is my after school special " lesson of the day".....echo echo echo...:p

My brother lived on St. Thomas for many years. If he had an appointment on Tuesday that showed up by Friday, they were early. ;) :D

lived...as in past tense? why would anybody leave??
unless....he moved to fiji?:D

Pesky little hurricane knocked down his apartment building. He didn't feel like living in the tent community until (if) they rebuilt.

what about the other question...

why mostly men worked in restaurants and bars??? not hot serving women!!!

There are plenty of women waitresses in Mexico, that being said:)
waiting tables is more of a career in Mexico and not a part time or summer student job that is common here in USA. Traditionally men have been the waiters in Mexico. and "head of household" so to speak:rolleyes: they can make a rather decent living esp in tourist resort areas Also they tend to stay long term because it can be quite lucrative so there is little turn over as well...

anybody have any hotel suggestions for downtown Chicago pref Magnificent mile?

How long are you staying for? What's your budget like?

Mag mile hotels get pricey, but it's worth it if you want to walk the city. I normally stay in Times Square when I visit NYC at the Westin. Westin is my go to brand, and there's one on the mag mile.

If you have any Chicago questions let them rip, I live here :)

Reactions: huh
A long weekend and I def want to stay walkable . Parking is $$ and I probably wouldn't use a car anyway. I'm thinking of taking the train or flying in. I'm in Michigan so it's not too far Embassy suites downtown looks nice. I've stayed in the Sheraton? I think.. By the water tower I believe.. It's been awhile.. I think there is a hotel near trader joes ? That might be a bonus
:)
