Google has a new maps. It has more features, like photos and shake for feedback (good for going over potholes).

Show scale is finally back after a long absence (it was there long ago).

Now all we need is music, camera (with location pin creation), access to the recipes used at the restaurants found nearby, a mini dialer so you can call and say that you're almost there, voice activated mini-Hangouts in case they don't answer the phone, a compass and GPS calibrator, an RSS news feed so the passenger doesn't get bored, live weather look ahead along the navigation route, Facebook and Twitter buttons so you can instantly let everyone know about whatever you have happening on the map, Instagram selfies that randomly show your reaction to route changes, a network analyzer that alerts you to nearby free wifi hot zones as you approach (with automatic rerouting options), speed limits, automatic Google search results for the average number of speeding busts and traffic fines in your vicinity, integrated calendar reminders, your horoscope for the hour, satellite view rendered in Material Design instead of the messy photoreality, and don't forget OFFLINE MAPS.

Because evidently, there ought to be no end to features added into a maps app.

I already have all of that ... and I get told when I use the wrong feature or don't follow directions as instructed ... I call her "Mrs."

Are you insane?

That's a critical system function controlling no end of dependencies.

If you would like to run a simulation of the metaphor for tampering with NeedShoes simply delete your Android build.prop file and see how far you get on reboot.
I read and ignored your post and changed a bunch of random settings with no backup. Now on top of NeedShoes I'm getting a nagging error about MatchingPurse.

Thanks a lot man.:(

Have you allowed advertisers on your site to look through email addresses? I just got a junk mail on the computer from Tapatalk.

Here's part of the header:
Return-Path: bounce+a73e86.ca13fxxxxxxxxxx=xxx.com@tapatalk.com
Received: from mail-182-92.tapatalk.com ([23.253.182.92]) by mx-ha.gmx.

The email address is correct. I deleted it to post. Can forward all headers to mod if
requested.

The message started out by saying "You've got Likes!" Then went on to include references
to this forum and the forum logo, then said to buy Tapatalk at Play store.

A straight ad for Tapatalk would have just been marked as spam and automatically deleted
but the phoney message was too much.

This seems to me like something coming from tapatalk. Have you registered with them? Perhaps they are monitoring their members forum usage ?
