I should have said in my previous post that the standard battery for the Samsung i8910 will work but the extended aftermarket one will not since its "upside down"
If you do get a battery and it seems to work check the testing menu and verify it shows the battery health. If that field has an error the battery most likely won't charge inside the phone.
Don't buy any random continuum battery. It has to be the specific model Ickster listed
Im not implying you are fibbing but I dont think the Continuum extended batteries will work. Are you sure you had an extended battery as in double thickness? Because from what I see the Continuum extended double thickness battery also has the wrong configuration as well.
The issue I had wasnt polarity but rather the pins ending up on the right side instead of the left.
To understand take your battery out and flip it over horizontally. It will still fit and snap into place but the pins are now on the wrong side. With a standard thickness battery this isnt a problem because you can flip it over, but with extended batteries you have to know which direction it was extended since it cant be flipped
Edit: Here is a picture of the battery I modified to work. See how the pins were on the wrong side

Back to the battery....the Continuum battery's polarity is correct. I have had it in the phone for several hours at a time. So if it works in the Continuum, it will work in the the Indulge.

. If we had a full partition mapping (the ACS developers figured it out but forgot to share the info) we could probably get the clockwork team to start on a package.
but I still say there is the trick to get the phone to charge extended batteries.
It comes with a cover but only the battery portion I need to fit this cover in to my case. I'm really good with plastics so I have little worries. I will also try to make a molding and see how it holds up and paints.
